A classic!
I am in love with this knife, and would give it fifteen stars if it were possible. It is a perfect blend of beauty, function, quality and value. Plus, man has been using edged tools since the time he made friends with the dog, so nobody should be without one, however slight, in his pocket. Drawbacks? Only two that I can see - first... wait! According to the Amazon description it IS stainless steel! Funny, it's not marked on the box or the blades anywhere. OK, I'll take their word on that, so it's down to just one: the short blade on the same end as the main blade is impossible for me to open, unless I open the main blade first. I can't get this blade started without gripping it between my thumb and my index finger as well as using my thumbnail: the nail by itself just buckles. The problem with the work-around is that it would be VERY easy for one's fingers to stay with the small blade as it snaps past top-dead-center - and right into the edge of the open main blade. You had better be paying close attention before attempting to open this blade! So, is the knife perfect, or not? We'll just pretend this extra blade isn't there - two blades suffice. Otherwise, the knife is just about as perfect in design and construction as it's possible for a tool to be, and for all of seven bucks and change. P.S. I ordered the knife only a few weeks before I wrote this, and I see that "seven bucks and change" has become "eight bucks and change"! Amazon is the only retailer I know where prices seem to move like the stock market - in response to transient fluctuations in supply and demand, rather than occasionally being adjusted by management fiat. P.P.S. I discovered the secret to opening the stiff blade - playing with the knife while thinking of something else! I suddenly found that I HAD opened the blade by itself. Luckily, muscle memory remained long enough to recover the secret - pushing into the blade at the same time as pushing up for some reason stops my thumbnail from buckling, and it's possible to open the blade with nail alone, as God intended. As a material object, this knife is perfect.

Well made.
I ordered the Imperial IMP16S Stockman 5.9in Stainless Steel Traditional Folding Knife with 2.5in Clip Point, Sheepsfoot and Spey Blade and POM Handle. Excuse the pun, but it looks sharp! I like this knife very much so far. It is sharp, fits well in my hand, and feels like it is of very good quality. It is easy to control. It cuts very well in the materials I have used it on. The blades are snug but not crazy hard to open. They lock open well. I carry this knife nearly all day. It is a good pocket knife, and I found it to be a very good price. I highly recommend this knife. The company shipped it out, it actually came a couple of days early.

Pretty good knife for the money
Pretty good knife for the money, but I have a few gripes. First, these are a little small for a true stockman pattern knife. I also happen to have a Case full-sized stockman, and this Imperial "large" stockman, is still smaller... The regular sized stockman knives from Imperial would be considered a "mini-stockman" from Case knives... So I think Imperial's sizing is a little off here.... Second, Imperial only produces the "large" stockman in this rather feminine "cracked ice" pattern scales, whereas if you get the "regular" stockman (mini-stockman for Case knives) they come in a variety of color options... This is also the same for Imperial's Canoe pattern slipjoint folder as well.. Not sure why they only offer the "large" models in "cracked ice" scales, but yeah.... That's all you get if you want the large... The steel is just okay... You really get what you pay for here... Don't expect these knives to hold a super sharp edge, or even hold it for very long for that matter. These are what I would call beater knives for when you just need to hack through things for utility purposes and don't want to get your nice knives dirty or gunked up... Fit and finish is okay. I have a few different models of imperial knives and they all have minor flaws like the the scales not being completely flush with the bolsters... And the folding action is not very smooth at all, but still works just fine... So these are just concessions that you will have to make for a knife of this price. Overall, these are great knives for the money. If you are looking for a knife with perfect fit and finish, and blade steel that takes a razor blade edge and holds it, then this is not going to be the knife for you. It's a good knife as long as you don't set your expectations too high.

Resultona.
