Purchased for around 2900. Although it's maximum capacity is 3.8 liters, actual usable is 2.5 l max. Quality of construction is good, nice study handles, highly polished surface, will update for performance after use.

Superb quality

This kadai is ideal for both sweet making and curries. We use it frequently rather than our other kadai’s even though sometimes its size is bigger than required. Plus point is that the handles won’t heat up on full flame. It is easily washable and we are using it for almost 5 years, still it looks like new one. I can recommend this to everyone looking for thick kadai which is easily manageable.

I purchased this steel kadai to replace my aluminium kadai & was a bit sceptical as to if it would work like the aluminium kadai. Surprisingly the bergner steel kadai is better than aluminium kadai & super easy to clean as well. Keep it on medium flame & your food doesn’t stick to the pan. That’s the only thing to remember. I made ghee, chutney, veg curry, caramel popcorn etc in it & it’s worked very well for me. The little bit of caramel & ghee particles that was stuck to the kadai came off very easily while washing. It’s worth the price!! I just had to edit my review on this product, as this steel kadai is worth buying & anybody who has any doubts about the food sticking to the kadai please be do not worry it isn’t as bad as it sounds..yes no doubt it’s not a non stick pan but it’s better to switch to steel than to use non stick in which the coating peels off & leaches into the food. The only drawback I would say is that they don’t have a bigger kadai day about 30cm which would have been a perfect size for a slightly larger family!!
