Good for what's available in American Markets
This rice is rated highly in the American Market by those with some culinary experience. This is not to say is the best you can get your hands on, but it is a decent choice within those available to us at a reasonable price. There is a higher tear brand by the name Peregrino that may be of higher quality, but I do not have personal experience with this brand. In terms of delivery, I got the rice quite quickly and in good conditions. No ruptures or any other kind of issues. When it comes to the quality, I would say is GOOD. There were no pebbles, no debris, and no additional contaminants. Not too much rice grain residue (powdery stuff you find in lesser quality brands) which means the rice was fairly well clean before packaging and shipping by manufacturer. When it comes to cooking, if you know what you’re doing, you should be able to prepare a fairly good paella. Just be mindful of the rice to water/broth ratio and everything should be fine. I found the grain to be slightly larger than the conventional Valencian grain, which is somewhat (on average) shorter. This makes me question the authenticity of its origins, but then again, I’ m not a rice expert, just a regular consumer. All in all, it resulted in a tasty dish with good flavor absorption and some grain separation (as opposed to a lumpy finish). The price is permissible, so give it a try and judge for yourself!

Perfect for Paella
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The perfect rice for making paella. Must be from Valencia, Spain. Texture: Short grain rice that soaks up the liquid and caramelizes perfectly on the bottom of the paella pan. Flakey and delicious.
