An Exemplary Calculator
As a graduated high school student entering college, I am 100% satisfied with this calculator. The TI -Nspire Cx saved me throughout senior year with my challenging math and science courses, and I have no doubt that it will save me in the upcoming Fall semester as well. During the school year I used this calculator almost all the time every day. If you are also a freshman looking to purchase a state-of-the-art multifunctional, multipurpose calculator that will last you all four years and beyond, definitely look into this calculator. The rest of the reviews say it all. The best part of this calculator is probably the ability to write/download programs. Also, the navigation pad is touch sensitive so that is amazing. It feels great in your hand and is always performing 100% from power-on to power-off. I came from a small scientific calculator, and when I bought this and started using it everyday, I knew that the price was definitely worth it. I have absolutely no concerns or issues with the calculator after having it for 9 months, and I am extremely excited to be using this throughout college.

In-Depth Review of the TI-Nspire CX (Comparing to an Older Model I've Owned for Years)
Detailed Review of the TI-Nspire CX Graphing Calculator: Note: This review will be updated over time as I use and learn more about this calculator. I will also be eventually uploading a video that will compare my old 2007 TI-Nspire to this newer TI-Nspire CX color model. After noticing that my trusty Nspire from High School was starting to glitch out and fail frequently, I decided that due to the large amount of mathematics approaching me towards the end of my college career that I should invest in a new model. This review will include my hands on experiences coming from the prior model. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PROS: - [CLEAR & COLOR DISPLAY]: Immediately after booting this up, I was very impressed by the full color, back-lit display. After 8 years of working under a lamp or other light source just to see the screen, this was a pleasant improvement as you can adjust the brightness between a few different levels. - [RECHARGEABLE BATTERY]: Another quickly noticeable addition to this model is a rechargeable battery. No more, "Oh shoot, the exam is in 30min and I need to buy 4 triple A batteries!". The battery life appears to be more than adequate and means less money (and stress) spent over batteries. - [SMOOTH ADJUSTMENT TO THE NEW OS]: I was also glad to see that while this is a much newer calculator by 5+ years, the OS is still as familiar as ever with improvements across the board. For most calculations/functions, I could quickly figure them out based on my prior knowledge from the older TI-Nspire. The addition of color certainly makes the experience that much better as well! - MUCH FASTER CPU: I was also glad to see the insane speed improvements between my 07' Nspire and this newer CX model. Calculations happen almost instantaneously and there are very few times where I have experienced any latency at all. The older model I had took forever to boot up while this one boots in seconds. - [SLIMMER DESIGN]: While they both appear to weigh about the same when holding them, the newer Nspire CX has a much more streamlined and efficient design. The older model I had was bulky towards the top (I'm assuming due to the dot-matrix LCD display it has) and it caused the calculator to look a bit awkward and not really sit flush with the rest of the design. They've sinced improved the design by quite a lot with this new Nspire Cx. - [BUTTON DESIGN]: The older TI-Nspire I have put all of it's letters in between other keys and was slightly annoying to use. This newer CX model has a dedicated section for the alphabet at the very bottom of the calculator. The other buttons are also much easier to use as they're all in fairly uniform sizes. - [FUNCTIONALITY]: The newer TI-Nspire CX, while remaining familiar with the OS, adds a ton more functionality (much of which I'm still exploring and learning). CONS: - It's not the CAS model, which can factor, expand, and do much more for you. Bear in mind that the CAS model is also banned for 90% of exams and college courses as it cheats you learning the material. Some professors are told to watch for the fairly obvious design differences between the CX and CX-CAS models. - I will update this section with more if I come across any notable CONS! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Overall, from what I've experienced so far, I highly recommend updating to this calculator if you were a fan of the older versions of it. Especially for the much faster CPU and color display. If you have anything you would like me to elaborate on further, please let me know!

Perfect for IB students (and I bet for university/college, too).
Easy to use and learn. Built-in user manual. Many languages are present. Functions just like a computer with a keyboard. Can add extra/external features downloaded from the web. Easy access to the calculator and graphing are available. Goes many days before charging. Charging is simple, resetting is simple and is usable for SAT, ACT and IB exams.

Amazing, highly satisfied!
Awesome calculator! It makes doing college math so much easier. Very good price for what you get, as this calculator has everything you can think of, and more. You have the option to take notes, and you can even save your calculations. I've only had this calculator for a month, and the battery life is great. My boyfriend and I both have this calculator, and he is the one that convinced me to get it. We both love it and highly recommend!

No problem transitioning from Ti-83/84 - and WAY more features
My son had been using the Ti-83/84 - was actually teaching his High School teacher points -- then he jumped ahead and went to college 2 years early - I searched and wanted him to have the best calculator - decided the Nspire CX (the CAS couldn't be used on many tests) was the better choice - my fear was the transition, learning curve for him- he had initial pushback wanting to stay with what he knew - but I had him read several reviews comparing the two (pros and cons side by side) and he agreed that the Nspire was the better calc - waiting for delivery he watched a few of the videos explaining the new menu's from the TI website (total of 15-30 min) Amazon delivered in 2 days and he powered it up and tried it out - was able to do everything he could before without issue and many things he couldn't do before - in his words thanks for doing thr research and pushing me to the NSpire - I love it!!!

... use any kind of calculator this is a really good device for me its actually just good for timed ...
Based on my experience as a college that came from a high school that doesn't allow us to use any kind of calculator this is a really good device for me its actually just good for timed exam, i will advise to you guys not to be attached to a calculator that you will not know how to solve equations without it. Just use it when you really need it, no

Worth the extra $10 upgrade to the replacement for the TI-84 series calculators.
This version of the product included a charging component which consisted of the typical cell phone block into which you plug a USB to mini cable. My older NSpire CX shipped with the physically connected transformer block and cable. I tried charging the device (it comes partially charged) and worked fine. My daughter's school (jr high at this point) specifies the TI-84 calculator, however my experiences as a high school math teacher has made the TI NSpire CX a better choice. The functionality is the same and then better than the TI-84. Usage is similar enough, yet different. I can teach her how to access the functions on the TI-Nspire as she is taught them for the TI-84.

Todo perfecto, es un calculadora gráfica, sin wifi . Creo se usa en ingeniería pero en el colegio de mis hijos se las exigieron. Un poco complicada de usar para ellos pero no tenemos quejas en sí del producto.
