Quality, not bulky and slimmer than the regulars
Feels substantial, I like that it is narrow and also fit in a poutch or pocket without being bulky. Im used to the cheap wood handled ones, they do the job but this one is a keeper. Would be great for boat building to. I may change out the knurled knobe for a lower profile. The edges are a little sharp. I usually take them down just a bit with a 600 grit dimond file, wich I do with most my fine calibration tools as many aren't polished out. The price is a little up there when there are so many cheap ones out there but this one looks more usable and all stainless so no wories it will be ready 10 years from now.

Simple no non sense design
It doesn’t get any simpler than this. It just works. Not sure what the criticisms of the brass tightening knob are about but if you can put a cap on a tube of toothpaste you can tighten this up enough to use and it won’t slip. I love the slim design/profile.

Perfect size and great price
I absolutely love this tool, I use it way more often than even expected. The tightening mechanism is awesome, and holds true to the angle from one point to the other.

Doesn’t firmly lock, can’t stand on its own
Even tightening the screw with pliers won’t give a firm hold. Will come out of alignment with even a gentle nudge. Also won’t stand on its base so it’s difficult to use for guiding a drill. Will be finding another bevel to use in the future.

Beautifully made, sturdy, precise
As it should be.

Very Hard to tighten
It doesn't hold angles well. It really slides. I wouldn't recommend it. Buy vintage instead.

Accurate
One only thing , you may slightly sand it with fine grits to make edges smoother. Overall good product

Seems as though this item was meant for a foreign market--stamp on tool does not match picture.
It appears that the delivered item is intended for an overseas market--the stamped letters are pictographs, perhaps simplified Japanese letters, as are the letters on the packaging. The item itself appears the same, is very sturdy, and the thumb screw to hold the bevel in position works smoothly and holds well. The price was more than other Amazon vendors, so I had counted on the stamp of the delivered item matching the picture to provide a sense of authenticity. Based on my best judgment, I'll keep it because I believe it to be a quality, authentic tool. Time will tell.
