I used a burner to melt Zinc in a pot. These worked well to get my molds poured.

If you use the ceramic hot pots, you should use a tool like this that keeps your hands safe from getting burned when you take it off the stove.

I tried holding up an empty stone pot to test it out - it does work great, but you have to grip it quite hard to lift it, and it hurts my hand. Might add some padding on the handles to alleviate it. Other than that, it's great.

I carry flaming hot stone bowls with these. The work great!!

Ease if use and light weight

These are made with the cheapest 'pot metal' available. They are not sturdy feeling and the rivet holding it together is loose and sloppy. They do work, but I'm scared every time I use them.
