Really Helps with Cystic Acne Without Over-Drying
I’ve been using De La Cruz 5% Sulfur Ointment specifically to target occasional cystic acne, and it’s one of those products that actually does what it claims — without feeling too harsh on my skin. Right away, I noticed the ointment has a thick, paste-like texture, so a little goes a long way. I apply it directly to the trouble spots before bed, and by morning the redness and swelling are noticeably reduced. It doesn’t magically make deep bumps disappear overnight, but over a few nights it definitely speeds up calming them down and shrinking them faster than other spot treatments I’ve tried. The sulfur scent is noticeable at first, but it fades quickly and isn’t offensive. It also doesn’t leave my skin super dry or flaky, which is something I worry about with acne treatments. I’ve used it a few times a week and my skin has handled it well without irritation. If I had one small thing to mention, it’s that you really only need a tiny dab. Too much and it can feel a bit heavy, so I find it works best when applied sparingly. Overall, this has become part of my go-to acne care when I notice a cystic spot coming up. It’s effective, affordable, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling like it’s been stripped — definitely worth adding to the rotation if you deal with stubborn pimples.

It smells terrible but it works!
So Kim K said she would put poop on her face to help resist aging. Well here I am putting farts in my face to keep my skin clear! 😂😂 On a serious note, this product is amazing! I am pregnant and experiencing hormonal breakouts. I tried all acne products even a prescription (which I didn’t really want to use) and they all didn’t work. I thought to try this product based on reviews and wanted to start with the 5% for my sensitive skin and since I’m using salicylic and glycolic acids. The very first day I saw reduction in inflammation and pimple size. My breakouts are drying up before my eyes and it’s only been two days! It also seems to help with my perioral dermatitis too. The smell is bad but tolerable for how well it works. The texture is thick but you wash it off anyway and I’ve noticed it actually has reduced oil production. I cannot recommend this product enough! It is quite strong so I would suggest starting with the lower strength and increase if needed.

Works great with a couple of less apealling features
Works great, helps heal the skin pretty fast and will keep using and recommend it, the smell is rough and though it says it if oil free, the feeling is definitely very oily to me , shaking it before helps some with that oily feeling but only to a degree.

Life savor!
So I originally ordered the extra strength as my husband has pretty bad cystic acne. And after trying that I could see it was helping my skin but I started getting deep pimples. I procrastinated a bit before getting the regular strength version. But after 2 months 95% of my adult acne is gone! Even with my periods. I'm 32 and have struggled since 21. The only time I was truly clear was when I was on doxycycline (which is expensive and a daily pill) or when I was pregnant. I now only get the tiniest pimple here or there maybe once in 3 weeks. I haven't found any other products that really helped. And I only have to use it every 2-3 days for a 10 mask! It's the only thing I use besides some moisturizer after. I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Melts into drippy sticky mess.
While the sulphur medication part of this product seems to be mildly effective, the white base it is in melts once it contacts warm skin, leaving a drippy, sticky mess. Would not recommend.

Definitely not a spot treatment
This is advertised as being a spot treatment /mask but this doesn't dry up to be effective as a spot treatment. This just sits wet on my skin. Can't wear it to bed which is when I often apply spot treatments, as it will smear all over. In my opinion this works better as a face wash. Reminds me of the DIY home honey or oatmeal masks type of thing, but definitely not a spot treatment. As a face wash, this didn't irritate my skin but I also didn't notice much of difference on my acne. As a facewash, I just think it perhaps doesn't have enough sulfur. I picked 5% vs 10% sulfur due to sensitivity with rosacea but when I did this I was thinking this was a spot treatment that would be on me much longer. Turns out 5% as a facewash isn't doing it for me. My face isn't smoother, redness still prominent and it is doing nothing for the blemishes. I noted no difference.

A must have for acne
A must have for acne prone skin! Yes, it does smell like sulfur and it seems to linger after you wash it off so you have wash your face afterwards. Totally worth it and it doesn’t seem to dry my skin out.

It works!
First off I have sensitive combination skin I can't use benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid so I found out that sulfur is a bit milder so went ahead and bought this product have to say I'm quite impressed of how quick it works it dries up pimples fast last night I had these large pimples and I applied for 10 minutes rinsed off with my face wash and when I woke up I noticed that the pimples are much smaller I'm very happy with my purchase I highly recommend just don't apply all over face The picture you see is of today sorry I didn't take one last night but see how it looks, last night they were large, pus filled now they shrunk
