Absolutely fascinating, empowering, elegant, and very resourceful. The Mistress Manual gives wonderfully sexy advice to women who are interested in creating a new dynamic in the bedroom or for those inexperienced women discovering the natural goddess within. I LOVED the diagram in the beginning of the book showing the different types disciplines a Domme may posses. The book is very easy to follow and read as it is set up in 3 parts. Part 1 on becoming a mistress, part 2 establishing yourself as a mistress, and part 3 (the most exciting part for me) the different types of archetypal fantasies to carry out in a play session. I highly recommend this book to curious and open minded women with a sexual desire to be in control. Happy perving!

I purchased this book after my boyfriend expressed an interest in F/m play. I did some research on the internet but very few resources on the matter. After purchasing a few necessities, I found I had no idea what to do. This book really helped me understand and embrace the Domme inside me. It is well written and easy to understand. It also has some practical information but don't expect a lot of ideas from it. Excellent section on spanking and the use of different implements. Over all good place to start.

I read this book all the way through, because I am new to the domme lifestyle and wanted to have a more well rounded idea of what I could do with that energy. I did learn a lot, what I may be interested in and what I may not be interested in. And I’ve appreciated that. The author repeats herself a lot, which can be annoying at times but it’s understandable considering that she states that the book isn’t necessarily intended to be read cover to cover, but is rather for flipping through to read about what you want. I personally wanted to read it all, so it was fine. I understand why she would want to explain submissive male psychology and how to keep a sub happy in all different domme archetypes - really good stuff to be aware of if you want to keep that boy obsessed and coming back for more. While I didn’t love all of her opinions on how to humiliate men, I understand them. It’s a good informational book if you don’t know what kind of domme you want to be or what to even do with those archetypes. But it’s pretty surface level. - obviously her intention. I’m going to continue my research, but I appreciate this book getting me started.

I was reluctant to purchase this book when I first saw it. After reading the free preview and taking a couple days to think about it, I went for it. I started reading it within minutes of the purchase and could not put it down. My kids had to practically pull the kindle away from me to make dinner that evening. I loved this book. It was good

I found this book to be interesting, but ultimately disappointing, however, my disappointment is not the book's fault. We were looking for a way to learn how to enhance our already in place female led relationship. This book is primarily for beginners, whereas we have been at it for decades, and the book also places much emphasis on "games." We don't play games in our house, our FLR is very real, we are just at a loss on how to make it grow, and we hoped this book would help with that. It did not. On the other hand, if you just want to play around with fem domme or FLR, then this book could work well for you. The Mistress Manual offers several scenarios that would help those who just want to have some fun or even relax, but there is little information for the experienced FLR couple,nor is there any real information for people who want to adopt the female led philosophy. It also is useful for a woman who wants to learn how to dominate men for profit or fun. And that is probably the book's best angle, because trying to function as a book for the experienced, the novice, and the curious, Mistress Lorelei has lost sight of a clear focus as to what the book should actually offer. I would recommend this book to those who are either curious or to a woman who wants to learn what it would take to control her man, at least on a fun level. As for a person seeking a lifestyle enhancement or change, this is not the book I would recommend. I would have given this book two stars, but I did like it, it just didn't offer me the information that we wanted as a couple.

Easy read and good reminder of a few fun things to do.

It's not bad. It's well written and very educational. I was a little disappointed at the one sidededness of it however. All of these dominant female archetypes are pretty much taken from the minds of men,i.e. what men want in a dominant woman. All this was very informative of course. If a woman had little experience with being dominant and wanted to please her man then she could perhaps choose on of the archetypes listed in this book. But I was hoping to learn more about the male submissive archetypes that women who love to dominate are looking for. I'm a woman and I prefer being in charge in bed. I know what sort of male submissive I desire but I hear so little in our culture about other female doms and what they want in a man. I was hoping to use this book as a sort of desire barometer to see how I compare with other doms, to find out if my wants are particularly rare or strange. But this book simply covers what men want in a dominant woman, not what woman wants in a submissive man. It's hardly a surprise I suppose, as most of the stuff I find on female dominance is cast in a very 'list of male wants' light. It's a good book, but I was hoping to get both sides of the story.

Awesome and very informative

Oddly most may think having a woman tell them what to do isn't very fun but the book ahs a variety of not only techniques to make some play time enjoyable for both even if the woman is the more in charge of the scene but also some good equality techniques on how to live a life with work, family and still have these aspects of ones s elf that need to come out. The release of not having to be a breadwinner, or run the house hold or a company for the male and for the female the enjoyment of being the sheer focus of the males attention and getting to be a bit more sassy then maybe normal life would allow. This book is for those interested or are curious in the lifestyle or specific aspects of a female led relationship, not a love making or play book.
