Hooked on this paint !!
I am hooked on this paint now. I was a bit surprised because the can is small. After using it I realized you do not need a huge can. This is a high quality product. I was amazed at the coverage. It dries with full coverage. It is a very matte finish which is beautiful. The texture is great. It is not high gloss which is what I was looking for. I am obsessed with this. I got it to paint a metal table and it looks so nice I keep using it. I’ve used it on metal stool legs and drawer pulls. This is now my go to product. I used antique gold and the color is perfect it is not brassy and looks classy

Small can goes a long way!
This paint is fantastic! I’ve ordered from Amazon for years and this is my first review. The can seems little but it goes a long way! The gold color is perfect! I painted it on two metal poles in my basement and it took two coats but I had plenty of paint. Great product!

Beautiful! The blue color is not turquoise as shown in the picture but still a beautiful blue.
I used it on some older cabinets and put it on without any prep. The picture doesn't do it any justice, it shines and lights up my small kitchen. I was hesitant because the color was not the same as shown, so if you are looking for a turquoise don't buy. It's more like a electric blue, but definitely recommend for quality and finish.

Takes a few coats to show
I bought this paint in the hopes I wouldn’t need to do a bunch of coats for it to show up and unfortunately that wasn’t the case. However, after about 3-4 coats it looks beautiful! So you just have to be patient. Otherwise it’s easy to use and goes on any surface well.

Excellent paint for wood and marble
I recently scored a lovely marble top table for a steal with plans to paint it. I didn’t think about whether painting marble was easy or not, but it was as so cheap I needed it. Did some searching and found this paint. I am AMAZED. I almost got the rust oleum chalked paint but it didn’t look dark enough. This gave me a beautiful dark satiny matte black over the wood AND the marble with no priming. Pics are before and after. When I painted the first stroke I was skeptical because it looked like it was rejecting the gloss finish on the table, but I gave it about a half a minute and tried to spread it and it was fine. Streaky but it was just the first coat. Did 3 coats on the bottom and one on top in this photo. I’ve since added another coat to the top and plan on sealing it so it’s shiny like the marble was. Im so happy I got this paint and can’t wait to start on the China cabinet I also got. In terms of cleaning it came off my hands fine but wiping it off the floor with soap and water didn’t work. Hopefully a cleaning agent will do the trick. That’s my only con. EDIT: Original review is from March 2023. It's now Aug 2023 and I've been able to paint the table shown, a whole 6.5ft tall china cabinet, 8 floating shelves, ornate appliqués for the shelves, 2 gothic wooden window frames, a 4.5ft ornate bookshelf, and 3 pieces of wall decor. THERE IS STILL PAINT LEFT from this small can. This stuff goes a lonnng way.

Great paint!
Love this paint! It’s thin but covers well! I have purchased it a few times.

Great paint, but check/open cans early to make sure is good!
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ Great paint, but check it early! I’ve been a fan of Shabby Chic paint for years—it’s one of my go-to choices for furniture projects. In January 2025, I ordered two of my favorite colors: Cottage Green and Rhubarb & Custard. I didn’t get around to opening the cans until July, and to my surprise, the green had thickened into a paste while the yellow was perfectly fine. It was a big disappointment, especially since I couldn't return it after 6 months. I ended up purchasing a new can, and now I know—I’ll be opening every can right away to check the quality. The paint itself is beautiful and goes on well when it’s in good condition. Just a word of advice to other buyers: don’t wait to open your cans!

It works but I’m still confused..
I’m am not a chalk paint expert, I have not YouTube channel, Pinterest account or even a Facebook account. But I’ve been in construction all my life, and either I’m confused or there’s a whole bunch of chalk painters that are confused... I’ll assume it’s me. All I know is my wife liked the distressed look... And because what she likes, I by default also like, I did some research into transforming our cheap little powder room vanity. After watching countless videos of very talented women painting and then beating up their freshly painted piece, I decided to jump in. Here’s where the confusion comes in. “No need to sand or prime, this paint bonds to anything and covers almost completely in one coat”... I’ll admit I tried to paint over dark brown with antique white, but it took 6 coats to cover and would have needed another 2 if I wanted a solid finish without any distressing. Had I applied one coat of primer and 2 coats of any other paint I would have saved 3 coats and wouldn’t have had to also buy a special “chalk paint brush”. (Which appears to be a brush so thick it holds the entire can of paint, possibly to make you feel like it was one coat). I found my regular brushes worked fine and did a better job of applying the paint evenly and smoothly and actually fit in the tiny can... Then you need to wax the finish once, twice or three times. (With a separate, special wax brush)... So now we’re up to 9 coats. My opinion on the wax? It had the consistency of well.... wax. Any brush would work but a lint free towel worked the best. Also, and this is my fault for assuming this was a typical sized small can of paint, but it is not.. I’ve never seen a can of paint so small that wasn’t sold in a hobby shop. It did cover the piece so it worked out, but wow, that’s a small can! So small in fact that the special chalk paint brush wouldn’t even fit in the can. All in all it worked fine. It didn’t turn out great, but it was my first attempt. I have no complaints other than I don’t understand how this is any better than primer and a couple coats of quality paint? I’d assume sand paper would rough up any freshly painted piece regardless of the paint used, but I’ve never tried so I’m not sure. It absolutely worked but after essentially 9 different applications of paint/wax. Far from the no sand no prime hype i read about.

Molto soddisfatta!
