I have been working on an ongoing project because it matters to me: Daisies for Nurses. This is an awards program I saw at Mass General Hospital in Boston which recognizes outstanding service. But only one nurse gets recognized each month. I was--and am--a patient at that hospital and was thrilled with the amazing care I received. I strongly feel that EVERY nurse there deserves a daisy, and that is what I have been working on ever since. I crochet little daisies and add half pompoms in the center, then the daisy gets glued onto an alligator clip. The nurses can clip the daisy on their badge, the collar of their scrubs, or even in their hair. It is my personal thank-you for having stuck it out through Covid and for doing what they do no matter how tired they can get. I had been purchasing alligator clips at Michaels for a premium. Then I stumbled upon these alligator clips on amazon.com and immediately ordered two packs to try them out. They work just as well as the much more expensive ones I used to buy at a fraction of the price. I am attaching pictures of both the front and back of the daisies I make. My hope is that this catches on and that eventually EVERY deserving nurse all over the country gets to wear a daisy. I plan on making a YouTube video that shows how I make the daisies which takes me about 45 minutes to make one from start to finish. So far I have made 924 daisies.

Sometimes the top, slick part will bend backwards if enough force is applied. I used mine for crafts, in which I glued bead art to them. Otherwise they held up okay.

Great size for little toddler head. Didn’t realize it was SO MANY, but that’s my fault for not laying closer attention.
