Evercool 70x70x25mm High Speed PWM Fan EC7025SH12BP

I bought these in order to fit two side by side in a dual height 5.25" bay in a 2U case I have that needed a little extra cooling. Primary motivator was thus their slightly unusual size of 70mm, as this allows two to fit side by side in the size of a 5.25" bay.I didn't really look closely at the fan speed - however. At full speed these crank out 4600rpm and sound like jet engines. They also move A LOT of air at full speed.Luckily you don't need to run them at full speed.You can use fan curves that slow them down a lot, and even use resistor-based low noise adapters to slow them down further, which is what I did. At lower speeds the noise level is really quite reasonable, and they still move a decent amount of air.

Bought this to upgrade my OEM AMD AM3+ Heatsink fan in an effort to get CPU temps lower. The Foxconn outperformed this fan in all areas - pushed more air, quieter, and temps ran cooler. Ended up putting the original back in. When the Evercool ramped up in the area of 3000 to 4800 rpm, the sound is very annoying. Can't believe it is rated 37db.

I kept getting fain failure alerts from my NAS, and it sounded like a dying siren at boot. This fan fit fine and is working perfectly as a replacement. The only thing "extra" I needed was a bit of tape to hold the longer wire neatly out of the way.

Exactly what I needed when I needed it. Fit the existing space after the previous fan died, the added thickness of the fan really helped airflow. Very happy with the product. Thanks!

The bearing is noisy and fan vibrates. Not good for CPU.

I have a 2 port Qnap NAS. It required a 70x25 fan with 4 pin connector. This item fit in perfectly. I hope it will last me quite sometime before replacement. It's been a day so far. will keep you updated if there are any issues.

Perfect replacement for desktop CPU fan that stopped working. Easy to install, cleared the '511-CPU fan not detected error' and it works perfectly now.
