24090 1/24 Nissan Skyline GTR

I just recently got into model building. This Skyline GT-R R32 is my second build, a Toyota truck from AMT being my first. Although I don't have much experience, I have to mention how much of a day and night difference this Skyline was. Everything fits like pretty much like legos. There was virtually no flash or adjusting parts. The detail is pretty good. You do have to do some research before you get one, if you want engine detail too. As far as I know, the R32 is the only Skyline kit that has an engine in the Tamiya line. The body finish was really smooth with defined lines. Very little sanding was needed before priming. The kit comes in Gun Metal Gray, in case you're wondering, although I did pain the car myself in the same color, and I suggest you do the same if you want more depth and shinny finish. It's a long process, but it is worth it. I recommend Tamiya paint primer, Tamiya PS-23 (gun metal) and Tamiya Clear Coat. Along with some 1000 grit all the way to 8000 grit sand paper. If there is something I wasn't too much of a fan of was the decals. They are very hard to work with, and one of the wheel hub Skyline emblems was lost in the process. I had to paint them myself. There are also some sizing issues with the gauge cluster. I was only able to fit the boost gauge and the main instruments (speedo, tack, fuel and such). All in all, Tamiya kits are near perfect. Great feel of the plastic, very accurate molding, no flash and virtually zero fitment issues.

If you have this saved in your cart... Go for it! It's incredibly hard to find this skyline in model kits that match it to the T. Everything is perfect. Pieces for, picture quality perfect, easy to assemble, wonderful value, easy to use. Perfect fit.

Hood is clear which is a little odd. Other than that the kit is one of the best quality that I’ve made. Would recommend!

First model iv made in a long time and actually tried making it perfect. I didnt get close but thats half the fun, tuning your skills and learning something new and fun. Glad i went with this kit

This is a great kit for the price. Lots of detail to paint. Directions were clear and parts fit well. I mark off one star because decals keep curling up

I received this two days early, and in perfect condition! The build quality of this kit is amazing, and I plan on purchasing two more to build differently. The parts were nicely developed, no fitment issues what so ever. The instructions were easy to read for a beginner, I'm a seasoned builder of over 15 years so this was an easy kit. But a beginner could buy this and build it with no problems! The engine detail is great, as is the interior. Over all a 5 star product I'd recommend to any builder New to the game or been at it for years.

This is a horrible product. Do not buy this. They were broken when they came in and they don’t have the color hood for it which is suppose to come with it. This is horrible to assemble and it’s awful as a whole. Do not buy it.

It came with all the parts but it didn’t come with like the little black screws to put it together which sucks because I was really excited about this.
