Woody's Premium Hair Clay for Men – Matte Finish, Pomade for Men Stronghold, Texturizing & Sculpting Hair Styling Clay, Flexible Control, 3.4 oz

When I first got my hair cut into a faux hawk, my barber kept using Woody's Web and I liked it way better than the Axe Messy Look paste I'd been using when I had a quiff. For comparison, the Axe was good for adding some texture to longer hair with a very light hold. The Woody's smelled good, added texture, but then also gave me a bunch more hold and styling capabilities. I liked it so much that I switched after a couple of barber visits because the difference was undeniable. One tin will last you a long time! I bought mine back in Sept. 2016 and am nearing the end now, but still probably have another couple of months left. Granted, I don't apply Woody's every day, only after I wash my hair, which is once or twice a week. For application, my recommendation is to not try to get the entire dose of wax in at once, but to add it in steps. This helps with even distribution. As other people have said, put a dollop in your palm and rub your hands together to warm the wax, then start from the back of your head forward, rubbing it in all over. If you put it on with wet hair and leave it, it will result in a wet look. I personally lightly wet my hair (like get hands wet, run through hair), before applying, as I find it a lot easier to distribute the product, plus I avoid the gel-like wet look. The smell is nice, it's not overpowering or unpleasant as some reviews state. Not sure how to describe the smell, but it's mellow, I'd say it's unisex bordering on masculine, and honestly, it's not that noticeable once it's in your hair. Someone would have to have their nose close to you to smell it, and the fragrance fades in time. It's not really a complaint, I just ordered another tin of Woody's (this time trying Mold It), so I'm quite happy... Just an observation.. but I will say that I've noticed that over the 2+ years I've had the tin, the product has changed, which is understandable given the amount of time and that it contains some natural ingredients. The top layer turns a bit darker where it's oxidized, and the wax itself has become clumpier in my hair, sort of resembling dandruff. Time for a new tin. :)

This stuff works great. Here are my Pros and Cons Pros: -Hold is great. Keeps hair in shape no matter what activity you are doing. -Great scent. Not heavy nor weak. -You use way less of this stuff than the American Crew stuff and at a better price. Cons: -Leaves hair feeling somewhat crusty. I don't know how to explain it. It doesn't feel hard at all but it also doesn't feel soft like with American Crew products where it feels soft all around. -Leaves hair looking dry and not that shiny wet look like you would get with American Crew. You have to try it for yourself. I learn to love it.

This is an oil/petroleum based hair product - so it's hard to wash out of your hair and off your hands. It's also However, I have thick wavy hair, and this product, whichever style I choose, holds it perfectly. It has a soft powder smell that doesn't linger. A little bit goes a long way. I usually use a nickel size amount on the tip of my finger. Not too much in the way of flakiness either - does not dry out hair, but can have a oily/greasy feel when running your fingers through hair. If you're one for changing hair styles through the day, I wouldn't recommend using this. Downsides: It's thick, takes some effort to spread evenly in hands Difficult to distribute evenly throughout hair - can be somewhat clumpy may need to wash hair 2-3 times in shower to get all of it out

Super solid stuff!! I have thick wavy hair, if my hair isn’t wet it dries out quick. With that being said I’ve tried a handful of other products. But this one is the best to use for styling, and it keeps a good hold. It is easy to wash out It is easy to reactivate shine with a little water Can’t beat the price I towel dry my hair and leave it a little damp. Get a good scoop, and run it through my hair. I even it out, and grab a bit more and apply it to any spots I missed. Last about 4-6 hours before having to reapply water. (Mainly in heat, in cold weather last longer) Great product

Tolles Wachs , man darf nur nicht zuviel davon nehmen , dann sieht es fettig aus. Also sehr sparsam in der Anwendung. Riecht sehr angenehm und ist sehr ergiebig.

Got to be the best molding clay for man's hair hands down!!! I've tried crew fiber which I used all the time until I found Woodys Even Fix Your Lid Forming Cream has nothing on Woodys It's got an extremely strong hold and you can shape your hair on the fly.Or even later in the day re style it stuff is amazing

Excellent product! I've been buying this for about 18 months now, but suddenly the price has risen dramatically. I purchased 2 tubs in November 2013 for £14.52 (£7.26 each), now Amazon wants £9.77 each tub in February 2014. I'm afraid to say that unless the price is more reasonable/competitive, I'll go elsewhere.
