Best I've found yet
Best out of the 3 I tried recently! Edit to add: ok I wore a very thin tank under it (like a chemise under a corset) - total game changer! I wore this for 9 hours yesterday, at work!, And was totally comfortable the whole time. Granted, it was a cold winter day, so idk how comfortable it would be mid summer! But it was like being in a snug cocoon all day. I have a fairly physical job, lots of moving and lifting and carrying, and my movements weren't hindered by wearing this at all. I was more conscious of *how* I moved, but I was able to move as needed. No hooks popped open over.the course of the day. My original plan was to wear it till lunchtime and then take it off. But I was still comfortable by lunch, so I just left it on and wore it for the rest of my shift - no regrets! The hooks were a challenge to close - I wasn't actually sure I'd get them all closed 😅. But once I did, I was very pleased with the fit! And I'd rather take the time to go hook by hook and close it up, then struggle in and out of a pull-on girdle! I wasn't sure I'd get the last one off, and this was a dream to get off in comparison! I've only worn it under jeans to make dinner so far (planning to wear it to a dance) but I was able to move and bend just fine. It's not exactly*pleasant* to wear but ...that's kind of expected! And it provides better tummy control for a small tummy than any others I've found. I just have a little pudge I want smoothed over and this was the best yet for that. It does give you back fat where you never had back fat before 😜. But I guess it's got to go somewhere! And if I put it *right* at my bra line, it smushes the back fat a bit too. Pulling it down an inch seems to create more back fat. It wasn't the *most* comfortable around the bustline, but it just felt like any slightly ichy bra might so...I can live with that! If I can remember, I'll update after the dance. I'm hopeful that it doesn't pop open under extreme movement 😅. So I guess we'll see! I don't really want to wear it to work, so I don't have a chance to really test it out.

Quality and comfort are the best reasons for trying this out
This shapewear is the best of all I have ,it is so comfortable and soft! I don’t have to wear the pull up ones that made me uncomfortable and tight on the top of my legs. The size is true no irritation,I highly recommend it if you never tried one !

I Dreamed I Liked Shapewear in my Maidenform Waist Nipper
I’m not usually a big fan of shapewear. Do I like to smooth out my belly and make my waist a little more defined? Yes, but not enough to tolerate shimmying into the usual devices. The ones made of material I feel doomed to snag, that have unwanted leg coverage, that will prove to be a bathroom obstacle. This is a much better experience to me! The boning helps my posture (it does irritate if you slouch in it very much) without being too restrictive. It’s like a corset with less choice for how it fits, but much faster and easier fastening. And it’s easy to get out of when you’ve decided you’ve worn it enough for the day! The best improvements I can think of would perhaps be hip gores, extra eyes for more custom fitting, or detachable garters, but it’s hard to beat for the price point. Will point out that I’m 5’4” with a long torso, so if you are shorter and/or have a short torso, you may find it uncomfortably long.

Amazing, comfortable, cute!
I was not optimistic when I ordered this, but I needed something to wear under dresses. I started a new medication. I used to be a size zero and I can’t afford a full new wardrobe right now. For a corset, it’s extremely comfortable! I can wear it all day with no trouble. I can bend easily, it doesn’t shift or move, it doesn’t roll, and it’s actually really cute! None of the lines show under my clothing, I even went dancing at a nightclub for hours with no trouble! I am currently a size 4 and it allows me to easily fit into size 0 clothing around the waist. Adding shapewear shorts is the best combo! The corset goes underneath the shorts and then I’m good to go. I can wear anything! And I look amazing. Thank you so much Maidenform for designing a functional but also pretty, high quality, and well made corset option for women!

Works great!
So, I am 5'4" and about 147lbs. My waist is 30-31 inches depending on the time of day or my meals. I thought I would have to purchase a small to get the results I wanted, but I am glad I didn't. I ordered the Medium and it fits perfectly. It is nice and snug, slims me down, and smooths the small bumps that we all have of stubborn fat. I am going to wear this for my wedding, and it is actually not uncomfortable when I tried it on. Good quality for the cost! Win, win! It covers me down to my pelvis and smoothes out that little bloop there. It was easy to put on too.

Beware before you use any waist trainers
I’ve been wearing these support devices several days a week for many years now. This is probably the softest and supportive and most comfortable device I’ve found as I didn’t like the rubbery or hard metal types at all. I have six of these, 2 black, 2 white, 2 nude, and I wear one a day to work or while exercising and take a break one day usually Sunday. But now I am writing this review to warn women: Wearing these has worsened my health. - I have no lower belly strength or feeling anymore. - Bc I have very little abdominal strength (I exercise 4-5x/week and have a strong core), but MY BACK has been overcompensating. - I have had very severe back pain now and have probably spent tens of thousands on chiropractic and doctors and MRIs and creams and heating pads and taking time off work. Why? I think it’s from wearing waist trainers. I thought it was bc of work, exercise, aging, or my bed but I finally realized it’s the corsets that I wear all day. - I have completely stopped wearing these now. My back pain is slowly getting better. But it took me years to figure out why I’d have back pain after wearing these corsets. I regret buying and using these for so many years.

Post-partum lifesaver
Following my second pregnancy, I realized something was wrong when my stomach was still huge weeks after giving birth and my back hurt just from holding my baby. I realized that I had a 7 finger wide diastasis recti (and I'm not huge - 5'4, 120 lbs) and major loose abdominal fascia. I guess my 8 lb babies pushed my abs to the outer limits! Of course I researched every waist reducer out there. I ended up purchasing the Tupler Technique DVD and waist support, the Squeem in medium, and the Flexees by Maidenform in size medium (I was about 130 lbs with like a 38" waist at the time and it was perfect for me post-partum wise). I'm sure the Tupler Technique has great merit, but I wasn't able to commit to it with 2 little children and the waist support pushed my organs down, putting pressure on my already weak pelvic floor. The Squeem was much tighter and harder to fit in / put on. The cheapest option, Flexees, worked the best for me. It gave me back support and put my tummy back where it belonged so I could fit into my work clothes when I had to go back to work 3 months postpartum. It was easy to slip on over my hips (I would connect the corset pieces and then put it on feet first). Honestly, I don't know what I could have worn the 6 months following my pregnancy without this - people would have thought I was 20 weeks pregnant. Although the corset snaps showed through on clingy fabrics, you can always put on a cami over it to help hide it. What a small price to pay to be able to go out in public and have your tummy match the rest of your body! For you gals out there with a severe diastasis, it took a long time for me to get better. The jury is out on belly binding, and I'm not sure if wearing this corset made me not use my ab muscles as much and delayed healing, but I felt like I needed it for protecting my back and helping me lift my baby and toddler. I stopped wearing it regularly probably about 7 months post-partum. I felt like I could finally sit up in bed without having to turn on my side about 10 months post-partum. Now, at 14 months post-partum, my core is still very weak and looks pretty awful. I really hope I can do a tummy tuck after I finish breastfeeding, as I think that is really the only way to get my abs where they need to be. Other people are different and have had great success with other techniques, but for someone with a severe diastasis on a budget, I wish I had just started with this.
