Contigo AUTOSEAL Cortland Water Bottle, Monaco, 24oz

This is my go-to water bottle 100% of the time, and I have about 10 others in the "fleet". Love this thing. Thoughtfully designed, carabiner clip is great, have not had any leaking problems with it. Dishwasher safe, lockable spout (so the button doesn't get pushed when in a backpack). Perfect size for hiking or yard work. Well made. Lightweight yet "indestructible*" (except for being run over by a lawnmower, see below). Even the blue color is attractive. The spout *could* be a speck larger, but it's honestly great as-is. This is the second one I've had. The first one fell off my mower while I was mowing a field and rolled under the blades. Instantly shredded. I purchased the replacement from my phone while still sitting on the mower.

We love the Contigo water bottles with AUTOSEAL lids. The kids have an easier time opening the flip lid and pressing the button to take a drink without any spills. The kids have a hard time opening water bottles from other manufacturers that doesn't have autoseal lids. The cups fit in all of our vehicle cup holders, as well as our lawn mower. They are super easy to wash and come clean in the dish washer - just remember to open the autoseal area before washing for a thorough cleaning :-) Bottom Line: Highly recommend! UPDATE: Nearly 2 years later we are still LOVING our Contigo water bottles. The best part is that there are no straws, that really can't be washed anyway. We have not had any of the lid issues that others have reported. All 12 of our water bottles are leakproof and working perfectly.

This is my favorite water bottle. It seals well and can lock so the button doesn't accidentally get depressed. It doesn't have a straw which I like. The inside of the lid opens up for easy cleaning. There's a hook on it to make it easier to carry with you. It has held up well and I have others like this too. I hope they don't stop making them.

I really love Contigo travel mugs, they keep your drink super hot for a while so I decided to try their water bottles. I bought two, one for my wife, one for me. My water bottle is doing great, I have no complaints. My wife, after a few weeks of use, had her push to drink button snap off. I believe it was because she was pushing to open the bottle at the bottom of the button which put a lot of pressure on the plastic since it's almost at the top (it's a large button). I took away one star for this design flaw as they should've made the button smaller so this wouldn't be an issue. This is a great water bottle for many reasons, just beware of how you push the button!

I've owned this for about a month. After seeing some complaints about the mechanism I wanteed to give it a good month to really put it through its paces. I used it every day for a month, often refilling it 2-3 times. I put it in my bag and took it to class (3x a week). I tested the mechanism by turning it completely upside down when completely full and observing for leaks, both in the normal position and in the closed position, at least once a week. It never leaked, not once. I'm pretty pleased. I never expect these bottles to last forever, but I don't see it failing soon either. Before I used this, I had the contigo grace, which is a less advanced version of this. There are some great things about this bottle. For one thing, it tapers slightly to fit your hand, and it's comfortable, much more so than my grace. Secondly, the locking mechanism is much improved. Being able to easily clean it is big, but also a big deal is you are a lot less likely to have spills with this. With the grace, even a tiny amount of pressure opens the valve, and that on occaison led to water getting into my bag. The downside is, you do have to put slightly more pressure to open the valve on this, but for anyone with normal hand strength, it's barely noticeable. The other great thing is the locking mechanism - that ensures it is not going to leak and it has worked perfectly for me, though the button can be a little hard to engage/disengage. I'm not a huge fan of the opening to clasp it on to something because it often moves in when I'm screwing on the lid, but it's not a big deal. Overall, I love this water bottle and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I'm also a big fan of the camelbak bottles, but this is probably my favorite.

This is my fourth Contigo water bottle and I like it best so far. I am glad to have the return of a harder handle with a clip. I can fasten it to my belt and it also gives better leverage for opening. Something I have trouble doing since developing arthritis in my thumbs. The release button also is easy to open. Inside the top there is now a tab to press that opens the ball/spout seal for easier cleaning. The spout is a good size. It doesn't leak but there is a little well in the spout that will trap a couple of drops of water after releasing the button. Not a complaint, just an observation. Yes it has 24 oz. instead of 25. No big deal to me. It also fits in my car cup holder and bike water holder. I use these all day every day and am hard on them, drop them on every surface! Even so, they usually last for at least a few years. I hope this one does but when it goes, I'll be looking for another.

ANOTHER UPDATE 2022: I washed my 24-oz bottle on the lower rack of the dishwasher and it got too close to the heating element. The top of the bottle became misshapen and the lid no longer fit. I purchased a 32-oz version and the 24-oz lid fits it! So now I have a 32-oz with TWO lids. Still loving this product, just need to be careful how I wash it!! Great product! UPDATE 2022: Lost the bottle I purchased in 2016 and recently bought a new one. The lid is slightly different, but so far it is working just as well. The last one worked flawlessly for six years. I only replaced it because I lost it. Still loving this product. ORIGIINAL REVIEW: Love this. Have had NO trouble with leaking. It's easy and light to carry around. What can I say - The product is as promised. I'm happy with the purchase.

There's lots to like about this bottle, and very little to dislike. All in all, it's my favorite among the many that I've had over the past several years. It's just the right size to have enough water (24oz or ~750 mL -- actually a bit more) but not be too big and bulky or too heavy to tote around. Once you fill it and seal it, it is pretty much leak-proof. It has a really easy to use push button opening mechanism to allow you to drink without it spilling while in your bag or if it falls over in the car -- and btw it fits nicely in a car cup holder. I love that it has a little flip-lid that covers the drinking mouthpiece so you don't get debris in it. The only downsides and these aren't REALLY complaints, is that it does sweat if the liquid you fill it with is cold and the air around it is humid. I don't think it's really meant for hot beverages. If you fill it beyond the 24oz mark, you need to push the spout release button so that pressure doesn't build up and push liquid up into the seal -- that will dribble on you later.... just keep the liquid below the fill line and this won't happen, or push the release button while you screw the top on. And... cleaning the lid is a bit of a chore. After awhile, it can get slimy, and there's lots of crevices to try to clear. I just open the release on the spout closure, throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher, and it comes out clean.
