It's a switch!I'm running less than 1 A thought it at 120 V, and it seems to be doing its job perfectly.The LED is wired across the "legs" of the switch, so you'll only get illumination if you hook "hot" up to one leg and "neutral" (or your other phase, if you're using the switch for 240 V) to the other. Also, depending on if you hook the power supply line up to either the switched or pole side of the switch, the LED will only be illuminated when flipped on, or will be illuminated all the time.

For a mounting hole you should actually cut 21mm x 28mm. The hard plastic of the switch is 27mm thick on its own.
