Overall good
Overall this is decent maternity shape wear. Starting with the good: it smoothes out my back which is exactly what I purchased for. The size is pretty spot on. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable on my stomach or like I’m being compressed. The not so good: it’s a bit tight on my legs and goes to my knees which shows with shorter dresses. The seam that goes up around each side of the stomach is visible and shows through a tighter fitting dress. Like other shapewear I’ve recently tried while pregnant, it actually gives me lower back pain almost instantly. It fits snug on my butt and sucks it in so if you’re someone who already doesn’t have much of a bum, it makes you look flat as a board. It also does not do a great job of shaping your hips so, I look like I have very wide love handles where the rest of my body is being shaped by the garment.I don’t think I’d be comfortable wearing this for several hours but for the few hours of my shower and maternity pictures it will serve a purpose. I wish this was made in a thong version because it would be much more flattering on me.For sizing: pre-pregnancy I was between a 6 and an 8. I’m 5’5 and pre-pregnancy weighed 155lb. I’m now 28 weeks pregnant and 170lbs. The size C fit well. If I sized down it would have definitely been too snug, and feel if I sized up I wouldn’t have as good of shaping on my back.

This has been a life saver for my pregnancy!
Got this to wear under a very fitted formal dress at 19 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby. It fits true to size (I was about 190ish when I first got it.) just read reviews and got the size I thought I’d need. It worked great.I’ve worn it now under a bunch of fitted dresses and it’s stretched with me now up to 33 weeks- I will wear this probably until I deliver because it’s so stretchy! Definitely tighter in the legs and takes a hot minute to squeeze into, but it’s not uncomfortable or anything once I’m in it. Very smoothing and makes the bump look great! Also perks the tooshie up too.Definitely one of the best pregnancy purchases!

The fit and material is different for each size!
I originally ordered a size A. However, I thought I could maybe use a size B.I’m 5’ 9” and weigh 142lbs at 7 months. The size A was comfy but a little snug. So I figured I’d go with a size B. The belly part of the size B was completely different than the size A. Size A belly material was more like a mesh/panty hose kind of material. I really liked that because it made the band seamless and allowed to stretch nicely around my belly. The material on the belly on the size B was similar to the rest of the band. It was too tight, as it didn’t stretch. And it left painful indentations on my belly from the seams (see photo). I also noticed that the size B was not seamless. Both sizes were about the same. I was expecting size B to be a little bit bigger. The biggest difference was the seams and belly fabric. So I returned the size B and kept the size A, seeing as the size A was much better and it was much more comfortable and allowed for more stretch.

Maternity SPANX v. Belavation Shapewear
I am a huge fan of the non-maternity version of these SPANX so I was happy to find that they were also available in a maternity style now that I'm expecting. I am 5'8" and wear a size 14 and am currently 6 months pregnant. I ordered a pair of these in my normal D spanx size and they fit perfectly with room to spare in the tummy area as my bump continues to grow over the final trimester. The belly area is not as supportive as I would have liked because it is made out of a sheer stocking-like material. I have not had a problem with the material running or catching on anything even after multiple wears and washes. Since the material is very thin, I take extra care when I'm pulling this on or off. My biggest complaint about these is that they don't have the convenient slit between the legs that normal spanx do. Be prepared to pull these things up and down each of the 50,000 times you go to the bathroom every day. The other down side to the material being so thin is that it does not provide any support at all and very letting smoothing of the bump (though there is plenty of support everywhere else). I don't want my bump to be constricted but some small amount of support would have been nice on the front. When I bought these I also decided to try a similar product made and sold by Belevation here on Amazon. Belevation Womens Maternity Shapewear Mid-Thigh Pettipant Large Black . As much as I like my Spanx, I have to confess that the Belevation maternity shapeware are my go-to baby belly-shaping item. The Belevation material is much softer and stretchier, making it loads more comfortable. The material is also more durable than the Spanx so I can quickly tug it on and off during bathroom breaks without having to worry about ripping a hole in it the way I do with the Spanx. Plus the Belevation shapewear is more affordable so I was able to purchase several pairs without leaving as big a dent in my wallet. It was about 30% cheaper than the Spanx when I bought it.

Runs a bit smaller than typical spanx
Maybe it’s because I’m in my 3rd trimester but these spanx run smaller on the thighs/butt than my other spanx. I can still fit in my regular spanx (even now but I’m worried they’re too tight on my stomach) so I’m familiar with the brand and their sizing but these were way too tight even though I’m 20 lbs under the max weight recommended. Recommend trying on in person or sizing up if you’re a bit thicker in the thighs/butt.

Works well
Good news is they work very well, better than I expected and they’re comfortable too. Down side is they’re made of a very thin material, just a little bit thicker than pantyhose so you have to put them on very carefully. Also they don’t come up high enough to control your below the bra fat. They also don’t have anything to keep them from sliding down. But it takes a few hours for that to happen and they don’t get far because of your belly but it’s far enough that your front muffin top will bulge out and hang from the belly holder because the belly holder is not as tight. So I would have to say that I do recommend them, just don’t expect them to be perfect!

Overall a good product.
Overall a good product.. comfortable and helps smooth out the bulges in the wrong place.. I found it was a bit long on the torso.. but I'm also pretty short.. also it's not like the regular spanx that makes you look 10 lbs lighter.. this one just smooths out everything

Good value, comfy and supportive.
I ordered a pair of these a couple of months ago. I was worried as I'm a size 16 and he biggest they had was a 14. However they were fine. They are comfy, and give support where needed. My only issue is that there is a lot of left over material at the top, so when wearing a tight dress there is a bump.Unfortunately I put a hole in my first pair when I was on holiday. Due to the price and only having 7 weeks left at that point and I'm not really a dress or skirt person, I tried a cheaper version. Big mistake ended up ordering these again.

Good product but a few negatives
Good product. Used twice and already the nylon is snagging. Product is a bit unbreathable and fits small but otherwise was well worth the money in regards to function.
