Worked fine.
I just finished converting The fluorescent light fixtures in our home. I did 3 dual bulb 8' to one LED each and they are brighter. I did 2 4' singles to one LED and 2 2' singles to LED. All from Hyperikon. They all wired differently but the instructions were quite clear for each. For the 8', Load to one end and Neutral to the other after cutting out the ballast which end for hot & neutral did not matter. Used old tombstones. For the 4' they came with one tombstone for each bulb but I changed out the non-wired end anyway because the old tombstones were taller than the new. Wiring was more specific for these as one side of the tombstone had to be correctly wired to Load and the other Neutral. The other tombstone was simply a holder for the bulb and has no wires going to it. The 2' again only used one tombstone but which side was Load and which was Neutral did not matter according to the instructions. And I paid no attention to which myself. I had to buy extra tombstones for the 2' bulbs. They did not come with any. But I knew that going in and was glad I bought a package of 12 so I had extras for other uses of non-shunted tombstones. All of these were simple to change over and worked excellent. A thought for anyone converting lights mounted to a wall and not a overhead ceiling type fixture. These LEDs are directional unlike the fluorescent which are 360°. 2 of my fixtures were mounted to a wall and after converting I was not happy with the fine job they did of lighting up the ceiling and remounted them so the could shine down instead of away from the wall. I am going to post this same review under the other bulbs I purchased from Hyperikon via Amazon.

Excellent LED replacement for Flourescent Tubes
I have used the Hyperikon LED replacements in both 2ft and 4ft sizes. In both cases the LED tubes were brighter and the color of the light more pleasant and effective than the equivalent wattage fluorescent tubes they replaced. You must be capable of removing the existing Ballast transformer from the existing tube fixture and connecting the remaining wires to each end of the tube fixture. This is not a technical process - there are just two wires coming in from your house wiring (white and black plus copper ground) and one wire from each end of the tube fixture. Connect the ground wire to the metal case of the light fixture, black wire to one end of the fixture and white wire to the other end of the fixture using wire nuts. Put things back together and install the new LED tube. Never touch the fixture again for many years!! Hyperikon is US made and was delivered on time and ideally packaged. High recommend this product as a replacement for old Fluorescent tubes. No more mercury and hazardous waste concerns!!

Good quality lighting but with a delay turning on
Easy install with clear instructions on how to bypass the ballast. Nice bright light with a color temperature that I think works great for the kitchen, not too warm/yellow and not too harsh/blue. My only gripe is that the lights take a second or two to actually turn on after flipping the switch.

Excellent lamps
CAUTION These LED lamps operate on 110 volts and do not work with nor use a ballast. I used these to rework several older fixtures in which the ballasts had failed. The rewiring was well explained in the lamp packaging and was easily done, requiring standard pliers, screw drivers and wire nuts. The result was an observable increase in the fixtures' light output with an equally material reduction in electricity used by the LED lamps. These lamps were installed in June, 2022, are in daily use and none have failed in 18 months.

Bright lights with a couple unexpected quirks
These LED bulbs (replacements for fluorescents) work well. I was surprised by two things: 1) The bulb tube through which light emits is "clear," not transluscent (like most flourescent tubes), so the appearance is less dressy, more "utilitarian." You can see the individual LED bulbs through the clear plastic tube. And 2) the tubes are opaque behind the LED bulbs (clear on the light-emitting side, opaque on the opposite side of the bulbs), which means the light from these units emits only in a 180-degree area, not a 360-degree area (as flourescents do). The result is that if these bulbs are mounted on a ceiling, there's little or no light reflected off the ceiling into the room. That's a very different look than conventional flourescents. Having said that, the light is bright and strong in the direction toward which the LEDs are pointing.

Use the wire install diagram for removing a ballast
Replaced my old tube ballast bulbs in kitchen. Much brighter, directional, instant light, and guaranteed. If you don't have wire caps, I recommend the cheap add-on GB 25-pack assortment for 3 bucks. You'll need two per fixture (I don't recommend reusing the old wire caps that may be in the fixture already). I also recommend purchasing a wire stripping tool as using a cutter can be frustrating if you don't have a steady hand. I'm an amateur when it comes to electrical work, but this was a very easy install. There is an instruction diagram inside the package that explains exactly what it will look like before and afterwards. I clipped the wires next to the ballast, removed it from the fixture, stripped the ends of the red/blue/yellow/white/black wires bare, then capped the two sets of wires as per the diagram. Very straightforward and took about 10-15 minutes for two fixtures.

Junk
Cant give zero stars. First bulb burned out in 5 seconds. I haven't tried the other bulbs in the package yet. I had high hopes; they do look nice and sleek with the clear lenses. The box says ballast compatible, so the ballasts were not removed from the particular fixture I used. You get what you pay for, don't waste your money on these. Update June 2020. So one of the bulbs lasted almost 2 years. I was really happy with it while it was working. The design is nice and the light is pleasant. After this light stopped working, I tried the remaining two in the box. The first was DOA. Nothing. The second lasted about thirty seconds before it died. All that to say, I essentially spent $40 on one bulb. PLEASE PLEASE look into an alternative to this brand.

Great product and excellent customer service - a rare combination
Very happy with these LEDs. Rewiring is simple and the customer service folks are very helpful if you have any questions. In my case, I was using them in under-cabinet single-bulb fixtures. The old fluorescent lights were buzzing and flickering. Once I rewired the fixtures (as described below) and installed the new Hyperikons, the fixtures were bright and completely quiet. Here's how the wiring goes on a single-bulb fixture (one tombstone on each end). After turning off the power, remove the ballast and clip all of the wires coming from the ballast -- clip them close to the ballast so you have more wire to work with after it's removed. Join the wire(s) coming from one tombstone to the white wire from the main set of wires coming into the fixture, then join the wire(s) from the other tombstone to the black wire from the main wire coming to the fixture. That's it!
