GST Leather Game Football - Official

I got this for my grandson. He said that it was all he could possibly want and more. I think he was happy with the football. It is expensive, but we tried cheaper ones first. "You get what you pay for" comes to mind.

If you have a high school football player in your household, this is the ball to buy. Don't waste your money on cheap balls from Walmart. These are competition-worthy balls.

I’ve been using the Wilson GST football for several months now, and it has quickly become my favorite. The grip is outstanding, thanks to the patented sewn-on stripes and the Accurate Control Lacing (ACL). These features make a noticeable difference in both throwing and catching, even in less-than-ideal weather conditions. The leather is soft yet durable, offering a great feel without being overly slick. Whether you’re practicing drills or playing in a game, this football provides excellent control and consistency.

I've always loved the feel and weight of a true authentic football. I saw Ohio State using these in their bowl games against Alabama and Oregon and had to have one. There's many things I absolutely love about this ball. I'll start with the pros...The feel of an authentic "Game ball" is second to none. While it takes a little bit of time and some elbow grease to shed this ball of its protective layer, nothing feels better. What I like about this football that I've not found on any other ball are the stitched on stripes that have taken the place of the standard painted on stripes. Besides never having to worry about the paint wearing off, these stripes of made of a synthetic tacky material that the ball easy to handle, catch and throw. This is a big football. So for people with smaller hands that have a hard time gripping it thesea come in handy. The graphics on a high end ball are always branded and embossed on the ball instead of stamped. While it's irrelevant to the actual performance of the ball, it justifies the price you pay. The only con I can come up with would be the synthetic lacing system. While it states on the description of the ball that the synthetic laces give the thrower better command of the football, I've noticed it's taken a lot longer to get that slippery feeling off the laces than it did the football itself. This ball needs to be broken in thoroughly through use before a true review can be done, but to get a little piece of the college game at an affordable price, this ball is top of the line! You can't beat it.

Great feel and easy to catch.

Terrible. I bought this twice. The first time it deflated every few weeks. I had it replaced. But I didn’t use the new one for a year as I had knee surgery. When I pumped up the new one, it didn’t hold the air at all. It has never been used a single time!!! I will try to return this one too, but it’s probably too late. I can’t believe US universities are using the same ball!!

Faux leather? Meets other specs. Overpriced for quality.

This is a amazing football. I have owned cheaper composite footballs but this is a night and day difference. This has great grip and feels very durable and well made. The stitching is flawless and the symmetry is perfect. You will be able to throw perfect spirals and the receiver should have no problems catching it because of the grip. Add some receiver gloves and it feels like its super glued to your hand. I was in between this or the duke but I chose this because of the stripes. They add some grip and its a bit easier to see in the air when you play a pickup game at night after work. I highly recommend this ball. If you have never purchased a leather football then you owe it to yourself to try this out. You will end up forgetting about your composites. Never play with this on concrete that's just common sense leave that to your old footballs. I love this ball an I plan on buying another to leave in the trunk of my car so I always have one
