Great Support
This brace is soft helpful with my broken collarbone. It helps hold things in place, and makes me feelMore secure and supported as my break heals. My orthopedic doc thinks its a good idea, in addition to my sling.Con: you need someone to help put it on and remove it. If you live alone, or don’t have someone to help you, this is a nonstarter.

Poor fit for me and didn't work
After a clavicle and pectoral injury with surgery, and with a lengthy projected recovery period, I tried this brace to help with comfort - I'm better in motion than sitting or standing around, and hoped this brace would help for those times of inactivity. I've noticed that while wearing a light backpack, the symptoms actually feel better. This brace seemed to approximate the positioning of the backpack. Unfortunately, the large straps on the brace were rather rigid and uncomfortable. I'm fairly big through the upper back and chest; with my wife's assistance, we just couldn't get the brace positioned either to be comfortable or even to stay closed when I extended my arms. There was no choice but to return it. Silly as it sounds, I'll likely wear my light backpack when I can get away with it to do a better job than this brace. Sorry it didn't work. It's a good idea but this particular product didn't do the job for me. Maybe it's all about size? I ordered and extra large but it still seemed too tight.

and shoulder problems for the last 30+ years probably due to poor posture. Correcting my posture helped a lot
I've had hand, arm, and shoulder problems for the last 30+ years probably due to poor posture. Correcting my posture helped a lot, but the kind of work I did made it difficult to improve my health. I was probably suffering from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. That's when nerves impinge on the blood vessels carrying blood to your arms and hands. Lack of good blood flow affects the muscles weakening them. A sister of mine who's a nurse had the same kind of problem.I am an avid amateur musician, and the physical problems prevented me from practicing more than three months or so out of the year.I purchased the harness about one year ago. After about one month of using the brace I noticed more strength in my hands and arms. What the harness did is pull back the muscles that were impinging on the blood vessels going to my arms and hands.I now have enough strength in my arms and hands to resume practicing. I have been able to maintain a practice schedule of three or more hours a day now for the last year. I haven't been able to do that since my late twenties. I'm now in my mid sixties. My advice to people with similar problems is to first correct your posture. Sit up straight and walk with your shoulders back. Slouching and letting your shoulders sag forward can cause real problems. If correcting your posture doesn't work after a month or so, buy this brace. It worked wonders for me.

very uncomfortable in the axilla, pinches skin
This seems to be well made but does have a serious design flaw. The thickness of the padding on the strap in the under-arm area is way too thick and pinches the skin. Makes it very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this unless you want to cut out a chunk of the padding.
