I keep buying these for my son so that he can clean his flute in between cleanings. He loves it. It’s perfect and I will continue to keep buying them.

I am relatively new to playing saxophone and quickly, I found the bane of all players, sticky pads. After speaking with other players, they recommended using these Yamaha cleaning paper to dry and to gently clean the tone holes in conjunction with using the Yamaha Powder paper. This is especially useful in situations where you may not have a lot of time to fully clean you instrument before or during a gig. So far, it has seemed that using this system of cleaning and powder paper works very well during heavy practice sessions of 2-3 hours.

My repair tech recommended this cleaning paper. I use it on the upper stack (saxophone) keys to remove more moisture after swabbing. I cut it into four pieces and follow the instructions. It does a good job of removing moisture without leaving any residue or debris on the pads. I have tried other things (e.g., microfiber cloth), but most seem to leave some cloth residue (mainly when they begin to wear down). I find that use of this cleaning paper increase the time interval between cleanings of the pads with other things (e.g., water) that is needed when key sticking becomes a problem. So for me, the extra few minutes needed to use this is worthwhile.
