The Definitive AC/DC Songbook: Updated Edition

I just got this book yesterday in the mail. It is full of great songs and tabs by the greatest hard rock band of all time in my opinion. It has songs from both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. I have seen other peoples reviews of other AC/DC guitar tab books put out by Amsco. They say that the tabs are wrong and that they just recycle the same guitar tabs over and over again. I have the first Definitive AC/DC song book that came out in 2003. The updated edition has 20 different songs that are not in the first edition. It also has a lot of the same songs as the first edition. Some of the same songs have different guitar tabs in this updated edition. For example Girls Got Rhythm has a different guitar tab. Shook Me All Night Long has a different intro guitar tab. Hells Bells has a different guitar tab. It is tabbed out the way that I have been playing the song for years. So anyone who is looking for a good AC/DC guitar tab book this is it and that’s the bottom line because Texas T said so.

If I could have given 4 and a half stars, I would have. It is complete and appears to be correct. Also, it seems organized as well as any of the few books like this that I have used. However, there are cases where it isn't exactly clear how different sections of a song (or parts) fit together. Anyone who knows the songs well will be able to figure it out though. And those who don't also should be able to work things out, albeit with a little more effort.

Try it. You'll like it. Highly recommended. Great songs. You'll learn the songs along the way.

funny how definitive doesn't mean definitive. found a few songs missing and one is Bad Boy Boogie which is a well known song.

For the price and for the songs ,it's a great deal and from what i have seen te tab is good to

I ordered this book for my grandson and he literally hasn’t put it down. He brags about it and shows it to everyone. Great buy, smooth transaction.

This is a great tab book. It is a substantially sized book. The tabs are really good. I am happy with this book. If you are an ac/dc fan and guitarist, it's a must have.

掲載されている楽曲が非常に多いので電話帳並みに分厚い一冊です。しかし各曲のタブ譜がそれなりに大きく印字されていますので大変見やすくなっています。前半と後半はページを開いておくのに最初はちょっと苦労しますが頑張って折り目をつけるなどして工夫することで問題は解消しました。紙の質は良いとは言えませんがこれだけのボリュームでこの価格ですからAC/DCのギターをたくさん習得したいという私のような自由人（笑）にはうってつけです。本家はメンバーがどんどんいなくなってしまいましたが彼らの音楽は永久に不滅です。本書はバイブルとして永久保存させていただきます。

Zunächst mal ist dieses "Telefonbuch" sehr schön anzusehen, zwar einfach und schlicht gehalten aber dennoch sehr schön! Was mir als Gitarrist der sich zumeist immer auf mehrere Quellen bezieht aufgefallen ist, das zunächst sich zwar mit fast allen Tabulaturen gut mitspielen lässt, aber doch die ein oder andere Notenkenntnis eforderlich ist, denn teilweise sind die Notationen doch stark gekürtzt und könnten einem Anfänger doch ein wenig verwirren. Außerdem sind natürlich auch nicht alle Tabulaturen 100% korrekt, aber sie stellen einen guten Ausgangspunkt da. D.h. wenn sich ein Gitarrist mit der Materie wie Pentatoniken, Tonleitern, etc. halbwegs auskennt und die Band auch ein wenig besser kennt, kann dieser die Töne auf die "richtige Octave" oder Dur/Moll Chords ab- oder umleiten. Es sind auch nicht für jedes Lied die kompletten "Soli" enthalten, aber das kann und sollte man auch nicht erwarten, bei der Arbeit die das machen würde. ;) Aber es sind oftmals die Hauptsoli + ab und an auch mal ein Endsolo dabei. Fazit: Ein sehr schönes Sammelwerk für Fans und Gitarristen und auch wenn im Buch die ein oder auch anderen Fehler vorhanden sind, ist es doch ein ansprechendens Buch und bietet ein sehr solides Grundgerüst um sich entweder Ideen zu schaffen oder eben das ganze zu Erweitern.

Grueso como un listín telefónico. Más de ochocientas páginas de puro guitarreo. Transcripciones precisas hasta donde pude comprobar (las partes de Malcolm y Angus siempre separadas). En definitiva una maravilla. Por este precio una ganga. El unico pero que le pongo es que es tan grueso y pesado que me da la impresion de que el atril se va a caer de un momento a otro. :)
