It seems like all of the reviews are for athletic men over six foot so here is one for us short fat old men.My dimensions; 54YO Male. 66" tall. 170#. 28" inseam. 35.5" waistband. 38" around the fattest part of belly. 23" around largest part of thigh. Intended purpose: tight fitting rash guard to keep legs from chafing and sun burning while snorkeling.Fit: The Large were too loose in the thigh and crotch area to prevent chafing while wet. The legs were a bit too long and large in diameter leading to bunching and folds of extra material that would hold water. The Medium fit better in crotch and top/waist band so it should keep sand out better. They were also a snugger fit in the legs and closer to the right length with no excess folds even on my short legs. This is while dry, we will see what happens in the wet, I may wish for the Smalls. The waistband comes to my belly button and there is a bit of air under fabric just below the fat roll at the waist line. The Mediums are very comfortable and not too tight, and I could wear the next size smaller to make them a bit more snug but still not a compression garment. The Mediums were very comfortable with no compression effect. Should be good for a thermal layer for cold after I get done using them for swimming in the South Pacific.Medium Pants dimensions from package: Waist to hem length 34.5" Inseam 25" Waist Dia. 26" Hem Dia. 9"Large Pants dimensions from package: Waist to hem length 36.5" Inseam 27" Waist Dia. 28" Hem Dia. 9"Quality: Very well stitched and fabric seems to feel nice to me. Very thick and stretchy. You can see the weave of fabric on outside but kind of fuzzy on inside. The waist band is 1.5" tall and conceals a draw string inside with no provisions for retaining tension. The string is tied together to prevent ends from escaping into the waistband.

This item itself is just terrific. We use for paddled boarding kayaking etc. Keep us warm and dry. If we do get more wet, the material dries fairly quickly/ The only issue I had was that there was no sizing chart with this listing. There was only anecdotal reports from reviewers. I followed their size descriptions and that was wrong (for us). So, there had to be a return and reorder of different sizes (one size large). But, Amazon was great about that whole process. Thanks!

I purchased these poly pants for cycling. I am 5’7” and 160 lbs. I picked size large. The fit was snug, not tight. One the first day of use the pants developed a 3” plus tear next to, but not on the seam of the crotch, though the seam began to give way also. I stoped at a convienience store, purchased a sew kit and made a repair. By the time I arrived home another 1” tear began further up. There was no chaffing against edges of the seat, no extreme tightness to cause the material to fatique and fail. Upon examination I can see the material has simply failed due to poor quality. An expensive single outing pant!

Terrific deal for people on the shorter side!! I am 5'3" so many shorties are too long-waisted for me; these pants are fantastic - XSmall with four way stretch looks tiny out of the bag but fits my size 8 body just fine. I was looking for lightweight coverage for Caribbean scuba diving and these pants plus the Neosport vest over a lightweight rash guard will be perfect. Ordering a second pair now. On taller people they may be too short -- at least in the smallest size. I also own the the other style Neosport pant and that style does have a longer leg  NeoSport Wetsuits XSPAN Pants, Black, X-Small - Diving, Snorkeling & Wakeboarding  and some other nice features but also has a higher price point.

These work great with my Emotion Spitfire sit-on-top kayak. The scupper holes let water in on the seat, but these pants keep me warm and comfortable. Very tight fit, but they stretch to fit perfectly.

These pants are awesome for scuba diving. Rather than squeezing myself into an uncomfortable one piece suit I can wear these pants with just a bathing suit top or a rash guard. Very comfortable and warm. Highly recommended.

I don't know how these will do once I get out on the water, but for those looking for sizing, I am 5'10, 170 lbs and this medium fits perfect. It is snug, but supposed to be. Any drawback would be in the length...a bit short, but not by much as it stretches, so very acceptable and very comfortable. Also seems very well made. I bought these to wear when fishing off my jetski, so will update later on it's actual use.

I hate to enter the chilly 83 degree water in our gym pool. So for 15 years, I would do my exercises in the warmer therapy pool-93degrees. But the cooler pool has much more space and better hours of operation. So I got these pants and a wetsuit jacket to try my workout in the 83degree water. Oh my goodness! What a difference! I have larger hips, so the XXX was a great fit. I can now do my water exercise in the cooler pool. I just ordered two more pairs! I LOVE these. I am able to jog in the water comfortably.

Great pant fit snug so you might want to go up one size from your normal size.
