Daiwa 19 Seaborg 500MJ (Electric Reel)

I am very happy with my selectio!! I like the concept of a light and compact unit as opposed to a heavier car battery or an expensive heavy-duty lithium battery and great waterproof carrying pouch. I tried it with my Daiwa 800MJ and Shimano BM 3000EJ reels, it works perfectly. The battery still have about 75% left after a 5 hour fishing trip on my 800MJ. It should last for the two whole day. The important thing power supply is not retarded after a few deep retrieving of sinkers and fishes. It’s great! All in all, I am very happy with my selection!

Great reel, worked flawlessly on first trip out. Needs Instruction sheet in English. Had to use YouTube to figure out settings.

Fished on charter out of Destin in 250 plus feet water, made 2-4 drops to everyone else’s one. Wore the mingo’s and scamp out. Haven’t tried it on the bigger fish yet but plan on using it on gags and red snapper soon. Update, this reel wears out red grouper and snapper, can horse them in before the sharks get’em. Also saves my arms and shoulders when I do catch a shark or Goliath. All my fishin buddies, who are mostly older than me, are planning to put them on their Christmas lists. I’m 67 years old with a couple of (dog years) mixed in from a rowdy misspent youth, so starting to have trouble with arthritis and other ailments. Seriously, I think this reel will extend my ability to do the kind of offshore fishing that I dearly love.

seems to use surprisingly little battery, powerful, easy to use (once you figure out how to get the display in English), geezer-friendly for those of us that prefer not to hand reel several hundred feet.
