Followed the instruction sheet to the letter. It had no effect whatsoever. The only way to get rid of blanket weed is physically- heavy duty brush etc. A waste of money.

Dont use it it doesnt work. And the seller doesnt respond.

Had to wait a couple of weeks for the water temperature to rise. Kept pumps feeding waterfall and filter on but removed UV light as advised. Pond volume around 800 litres. Added packet to water and waited for the weed to disappear. That was around 5 weeks ago. At the moment there is still plenty of submerged weed that I was under the impression would be removed.

Second time iv ordered this, it would have got more stars as the first time I used it was most effective. However this particular batch doesn't seem to have achieved the same result.

the cost is rather high

This item was recommended to me by a professional head gardener, who has used it on large water areas. For my small garden pond I only used a quarter of this package (weighed out by me) and kept the remainder (resealed) for further monthly application. The blanket weed began to disappear within 24 hours and continues to do so. No harm to other plants or wildlife. Brilliant!!

I used this product to clear blanket weed of such thickness it could be lifted and neatly folded. the algae had grown in two interconnected drainage ponds and it had created a stagnant slurry. The pack was divided equally and added direct to the water and within a couple of days the water was clearing. This process has continued throughout November and December so the material remains active in the cold.
