XSCORPION (CB250) 250 Amp Circuit Breaker with Manual Reset

This was purchased to replace a bank of fuses that had blown in a power inverter. My mother's friends came to me to fix his device which had failed when he accidentally shorted it out. He had someone take it apart and saw the line of fuses that had either burned or jumped off of the solder. With answers that didn't satisfy him, he came to me. I removed the blown fuses, cleaned up some of the solder that had traveled, and discussed options with him. Rather than buying a new one, or risking another blowout, he opted for a resettable breaker (like houses have). The inverter is 1500w, so either 250A or 300A would have worked. Considering the amount that of things he would be powering, 250A was more than satisfactory. The factory had installed 210A worth of fuses, so it was close enough to what they engineered that there was less risk of burning anything else out. Installation was painless, and the inverter works as expected. I tested the breaker, and it operated flawlessly. I'm quite satisfied with this, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I just installed and tested this, so while I can't comment on life span, here are the approximate performance specs I measured. At 250 amps, I had a 0.2 volt drop and could operate at this amperage for at least 15 seconds. When drawing 400 amps, there was a 0.3v drop and 5 second operating time. The times are rough as I couldn't consistently draw these currents. I am using one breaker to connect two car batteries to two hydraulic pumps which typically draw 200 amps combined and up to 400 amps at 2500 psi. This is on a Wood-Mizer sawmill and just allows me to operate the hydraulics even when the saw head isn't supplying power. I'll update this review if I remember or when the breaker fails, so take no news as good news. Update: The circuit breaker failed completely Aug 2017. It was switched several times per day for the past month, I'll be replacing it with a higher rated circuit breaker as the tripping became a nuisance. My usage was not in any way normal, well over 100 cycles isn't bad for the price. And it was used completely exposed outdoors with the only issue being that terminal nuts started to rust.

A lot of people complain about these I bought 2 of them to hook up to a 3000 watt power inverter hooked up to 16 100 amp hour 24 volt battery Bank I've had them for about 2 weeks now Flawless performance haven't tripped for no reason these are the ones to Buy work excellent great for protecting your inverter and Battery Bank also work very effectively as a cut off switch

Heat based circuit breaker, means it goes in your trunk not your engine bay. Great for trunk based amplifiers, not the product for protecting from upgraded amplifiers in the engine bay.

I have a 150 and a 250amp model of this Fuse from Xscorpion. They have tripped and I reset them so I presume they are working as expected. It's nice because they can double as a switch as well if needs be. Well worth it. one thing to note, the first time it tripped it would not reset, I was thinking "this f-en" thing is already broken, but it takes a few minutes to "cool down" and it will reset again, so don't stress.

Perfect for a lot of amps and watts and convenient for resetting instead of buying fuses.

The fuse is definitely over rated

Cheap product, stinger makes a better one for the same price almost. Bought a stinger one and returned this one .
