LOVE!
Both my husband and I have top-siders, and when I saw that Sperry made some in our little guy's size! He is 1 year old and we had him measured professionally, and these fit just as they should. They look adorable. They are very well constructed. And they look adorable! The adorable had to be repeated. He has been difficult to find shoes for because he has a thick foot and a lot of shoes won't fit over to even get on his foot. These slip right on, and the velcro secures them to his feet. No fuss, no difficulty. My only complaint is that I wish the soles were more flexible. These are sold in a size that is for babies and toddlers who are learning and perfecting their walking skills. These are a little stiff. While it hasn't hindered my son's ability to cruise and walk noticeably, the recommendations are for more flexibility.Aside from that one issue, which doesn't seem to cause any problems, we love these shoes and are very happy. We get compliments on them all the time.

Favorite Shoe
I have purchased 4 different pairs of Sperry boat shoe since my 20 month old was born. We love them to say the least. We received these 3 days after purchase. I am very pleased with this style, and it quickly became my new favorite. I ordered a half size up in a regular width and they fit great with a little growing room. (Most sperrys run a little small/tight). I'm also very pleased with the Velcro. I have always had trouble keeping the others tied and on his feet; these seem to stay put much better. The only grip I have is the color was more cream than tan as pictured. I highly recommend putting a treatment on them as soon as they come out of the box, it slightly darkened the color and will prevent water stains and scuffs.

Doesn't fit like a wide so order up a size
It's hard to say how a shoe feels on a child who is too little to tell you but my 19-month old daughter wears these shoes all day and has not complained. She has a wide foot and I ordered the wide size but it still fits more like a normal width. She isn't bothered by it but I do wish it was slightly wider. I did order up a size to compensate for the more narrow fit. I would buy these again and probably when she's ready for the next size.

WAY too big
Okay, help me out here -- I'm trying to understand what I did wrong. My 4 year old son wears size 11 in Stride Rite, so I ordered a size 11 in these. They are enormous. They are the equivalent of a size 2 (Big Kid) on the Stride Rite size chart. The box and the tag inside the shoe clearly say "11." I still gave it 4 stars, because they are pretty darn adorable and seem to be well-made. I'm just not sure what size to order when I exchange. Any thoughts? I may just return altogether, just to play it safe. Thanks!

Narrow
I am so glad I heeded the warnings in some of the reviews - this shoe is narrow. My son's for is average width, and I ordered the wides for him. They fit perfectly. He loves them and happily wears them, and they are attractive. They are a bit stiff, which I presume will change with time, but it means that my 3-year old has a bit more trouble putting on and taking off these shoes.Overall, however I consider them a good buy and I will likely buy again when he grows out of his current pair.

Wide sizes not really that wide
Our son is on the borderline between needing a regular and a wide shoe, so we typically buy the wide shoes so he has some room. We purchased these velcro topsiders in a wide size, but they were so narrow that we could barely stuff his foot into the shoe. I noticed on the side of the box that they sent us a GIRLS shoe, so perhaps that is the problem. I'm not sure if girls shoes are narrower than boys shoes, or how to even specify on Amazon that you want a BOYS shoe. The construction of the shoe appeared to be a very high quality, and extremely sturdy (yet flexible). If it weren't for the fit issue, I'm sure we would have loved these shoes.

Very well made
I should have sent these particular shoes back for a half size larger. I bought a different style for my grandson this year and added a half size to that one. I have not received them yet so this review may not help for now. I will comment on the new ones when they arrive. I will say that my grandson did like these shoes more than I expected him to like them. He loves his athletic shoes.

Nice shoes
The size 4 were gigantic on my 11 month old. Which is supposed to fit 9 to 12 months. He is also a very tiny 11 month old So that could be why. So, I bought the size 3 hoping they fit better. Will keep the 4's until he grows into them. Boy needs his sperry's :D
