It takes some getting used to from working flat, but it prevents strain on my neck and shoulders from looking down all of the time. I like that there is a diminutive catch on the bottom to prevent interference with moving my hand while I write or create art. It is a good size for the smaller work that I do. The nubs on the bottom are good at catching the table surface, and I like that it is solid wood with pieces that are simple and less likely to break.

I wanted something to be able to paint at an angle AND be able to lean on it with my hand. I looked at many easels but they none were built for pushing on and the angle was wrong for me. This is perfect! It's sturdy. Its the perfect size (bigger than my desks in college but smaller than my desks in elementary school). Smooth surface and a soft lip to keep papers from sliding off. Excellent product!

Nicely constructed with quality materials. There are 4 nice, sturdy rubber feet that are screwed in place - also a great, dense rubber stopper at the wrist area which keeps papers from falling. This truly is a very nice product. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I immediately started trying to figure out how to improve it once I got it set up. I don't however regret my purchase at all. I'm very happy with it, yet I may still alter it some. The leg is only in place due to gravity. If you lift the stand at all you risk it falling to the desk. The long post of the leg protrudes from the top of the wedge face, greatly reducing the amount of working surface area. I may look to trim the post off so that it is level with the face, and may look to anchor the leg with L brackets. That's all just constructive critique, and I am happy with my purchase.

Grood quality, sturdy but I need to use a gorilla glue to stick the bottom part better.

We use as a home work table for my daughter. She finds the angle to be very helpful.. It sets up super easy. The pieces slide together simply. It is surprisingly study for something that just slides together. It doesn't wobble or wiggle. There are small plastic nubs which prevent it from sliding on the table. There is a lip At the bottom to keep papers still and spaces for Pencils at the top.

I ordered this item because I was getting a backache hunching over my desk while coloring and card making. I think this will work out for me. I tried doing some coloring last night and I liked the size of the worksurface and the strip at the bottom that keeps pencils from rolling away. Only bad thing is pencils or water brushes can roll underneath the unit because it's totally open. But that's an OK tradeoff for not getting a backache!

I have tried a lot of these and this one has the fewest problems. The bottom piece that prevents the paper from falling off is a little sharp so I used a dremel to smooth it out. I like the angle. I like that the surface is slightly tacky but not sticky. The piece at the top that pokes out a bit reduces the usable space, debating trimming it. Overall it is ok.

My biggest complaint is that there isn't a way to connect the boards together so the second you loft it up a loud noise occurs. We use this for my autistic, low tone son for completing his schoolwork at home. I love everything else about the wooden writing stand. He likes that he can set his weighted pencil at the top and his homework doesn't slip off because of the amazing grip that runs along the bottom.
