Can't seem to get much better than this for the price. I use it every morning when I make my pour-over. It's a simple and easy-to-use display that is easy to understand to use as a daily scale for coffee and cooking. It would be great if it had a rechargeable battery with USB charging features, but I use my Eneloops and they last for a good month or so each charg.e

For the money, this has exceeded my expectations. I use a Acaia Luna espresso scale and picked this one up to weigh green coffee before I roast it. It matches my Acaia in weighed espresso shots pretty closely. Didn't expect that. It's not as fast as the Lunar, but still. Works perfect for my needs.

Very easy to use with a very easy to read display. Easy to switch between grams, ounces, pounds, Etc.Aside from just getting weights, I've been using it to measure paint and add the right amount of thinner.Good quality and value, firm buttons for functions, small and lightweight. It's been a very convenient tool.

I've used this scale for the past year. I use it both for making coffee as well as baking. I like the flexibility of this model since it has 0.1 g precision and a generous maximum weight. Using a really large, heavy ceramic bowl might push the weight limit, but typical steel mixing bowls work well. This was the first food scale I've purchased and I find it really convenient for weighing messy things like meats, sauces and dough.When I first started using the scale, I was bothered by the beep that it makes every time you press a button (including the on/off button). It's a bit loud and annoying and I didn't want to disturb my roommate, so I stuffed a piece of tissue in the speaker hole on the bottom to dampen the noise. However, after almost a year of use I randomly stumbled upon a proper solution!PRO TIP: press the "Tare" button 3 times in a row to toggle the beeping on or off. Note that it will still beep every minute with the timer function, but the rest of the interface beeps will be disabled.I couldn't find that in the instruction manual. However, at this point the beeping has grown on my so I've kept it enabled :)The only thing I don't like about this scale is that it doesn't seem very resilient to water. It's not uncommon for it to get dirty or splashed with water and needing a wipe down. I have been careful not to get it too wet, however when I changed the battery recently I noticed some corrosion in the compartment. The battery compartment doesn't have any protection against water, and while the device still works fine, I worry that it won't last as long due to this design flaw. One star off for that.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. This was the best combo of features for my use case as a coffee and baking scale.

I have had two versions of this scale. The first one lasted me a year before it began to malfunction. A change of battery didn't help, the screen would just stay lit without reading any measurements and the beep would be a continuous sound. I ordered a new one to replace my screaming scale, and upon my second use I encountered a half-lit screen that would not display any measurements. Disappointing. Did return and have been looking elsewhere for a new food scale.

This is a scale optimized for use making coffee. 1/10 gram resolution, built-in timer, rubber cover, all are brilliant. The feature that keeps me happy most is it doesn't shut off when you don't want it to.Sometimes life intervenes when making your coffee and you have to go away for a second or thirty. A normal scale laughs and shuts off, snug in the knowledge that you don't remember how much water you've already poured. Scales are a spiteful breed, however, this one is different. I haven't once had this problem. I understand this probably diminishes battery life--its screen does dim so there is some savings--but I will happily trade that for not having to guess how much water I have left to pour.The only complaint I have is that the scale seems to "stick" when doing fine changes in weight. If you're trying to sneak up to a weight a couple beans at a time, the weight may not move and then suddenly jump a few tenths of a gram. I haven't found it to be that much of a problem. It might also be a problem with the rubber mat sticking. Moving it around sometimes makes it more responsive.

Good for coffee and espresso aficionados. I like them for multiple reasons. First, it can weigh up to 3kg or 6lbs. Many scales only go up to 2lbs and that is not enough for some applications. Second it is more water resistant than some models i have used. Third, the scale does not time out too quickly. Many times you let your coffee bloom, and or steep a minute or two and this scale does not turn off too quickly. There are several of these scales on Amazon with different brands and I have a few. They are all the same.

Works great for measuring espresso!!
