Got these to use with my pilot Kaküno pen and they work great. Quality is pretty good though if you use them for more than writing the ink will run out fast. Depending on the paper it can bleed through a bit, but overall really worth the cost

I like this product, because it is easy to change out and not messy and useful for when you are on the go. The ink doesn't come with any instructions, so if you are new to these cartridges you will unscrew the neck from the pen barrel of your fountain pen, firmly insert your cartridge by putting it in straight without turning or twisting (the larger end with the valve cover is what will be pointing down), and you should feel or hear a click when the cartridge is fully inserted. You can give the cartridge 2-3 squeezes and the ink should start flowing through your pen with ease. If it doesn't, then there may be an issue with your pen nib, or you haven't given enough time for the ink to flow (but it shouldn't take very long). One thing to take into consideration when using the cartridges is that you will go through them quickly (nib size could affect this too), especially if you write a lot with your pen. I use these cartridges with my Pilot metropolitan (fine nib) to write case notes with and went through a cartridge in 11 days. So you will go through the pack rather quick and they won't last say as long as having a bottled ink, but again, they are convenient if you are on the go.

I bought these for my Pilot Cocoon, and my daughter's Pilot Metropolitan pens. I didn't buy them for the ink, I bought them to store different colors to test in our pens. My daughter and I love our Pilot Metropolitans and Pilot Cocoons (basically a Japanese market Metropolitan). The smaller size, though, means that ink capacity is limited. This is especially true if you like to use an ink fill converter such as a piston operated or squeeze type. The best way to get maximum capacity from the smaller pen is to use ink cartridges. The beauty of this is that cartridges can be reused by rinsing them out and refilling them with a syringe. The cartridges can even be filled and stored for later use. The way to do this is to squeeze the cartridge allowing the little round "cap" to fall out, and then re-seating the cap after refilling the cartridge. There are good demonstrations of this online if you google "reusing fountain pen ink cartridges" or the like. Anyway, if you want maximum capacity out of your smaller metropolitan or cocoon, cartridges are the way to go - inexpensive and ultra versatile.

The ink is sealed in their plastic cartridges & quite well. Having owned the same few boxes of these for years, not a single one dried up. They puncture easily where they are supposed to when in use. And are in otherwise durable plastic cartridges that have not gotten damaged nor leaked for us. The ink contained inside is of perfect consistency & pours properly. Having chosen black, it appears as it should. Can confidently recommend this product to you should you need to refill your pens.
