Cleared BV in one dose
I had been on several rounds of Metronidazole for recurrent BV, which was frustrating. After reading the reviews, I figured I would give this a try and it was TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY. My issues were cleared up after the first dose. Excellent product. Highly recommend!

SO happy to have found this!
As an RN, I've always been reluctant to use antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. Since BV is actually not an 'infection', but an imbalance in normal flora, this product has been such a relief to find. I had recently fought an episode of BV for well over a month, miserable and mortified by the odor that would quickly return, despite showering twice a day. (SO embarrassing!) I desperately tried other brands of suppositories, folic acid and Vitamin C tablets by mouth, douching with vinegar and water, etc., with no success. The NeuEve product worked almost immediately to finally eliminate the odor and start the 'rebalancing' process. The routine that I finally settled on was to douche with a half strength solution of peroxide and water x 3 nights right before bed. On the third night, immediately follow with an apple cider vinegar half strength douche and then the first of the 3 NeuEve suppositories afterward. 3 (and then 6) nights later I used one of the other 2 suppositories. This combination finally allowed me to see a return to 'normal' life. I would recommend using panty liners each day as needed after the suppositories are used, since there may be some light discharge, but this is usually only needed on the first day. Also, as a tip to others who might have been experiencing lingering odor on their clothes (BV odor is SO difficult to eliminate), I found that using a cup of vinegar in the washing machine water and soaking the clothes for about 3 hours or so before adding detergent and completing the cycle totally worked. You may think that your clothes would smell like salad dressing afterwards, but they definitely don't. None of the pre-treatment attempts with disinfectants and deodorizers I had tried worked a fraction as well or as quickly as the vinegar did. I'm going to keep NeuEve on hand from now on so I can start treatment myself right away if I have any future issues, without having to resort to harsh, expensive medications or waiting for doctor appointments.

Doesnt work, but read to see what does.
Does not work and melts on contact. Even bought the suppository applicators and still was difficult to insert. However I googled home remedies for BV and what absolutely does work is soaking a tampon in chilled milk and inserting as you normally would and leaving in no more than 2 hours. I have tried what seems like everything under the sun and I am pleased to announce that after 3 days all those annoying symptoms including that terrible fishy smell is gone and has not returned. The best part is it cost me absolutely nothing. It's amazing how we spend all this money on crap that doesn't work when the solution was right in my refrigerator the entire time. I never do reviewes but I was so blown away by the results of using plain ol milk I had to share. Hopefully this helps someone else and you too can pass on your awesome results to the next female. Good luck.

It does soothe, but be careful.
Works kind of? It did soothe the irritation and pain. You get only 3 suppositories for the price which is kind of crazy. It won’t really “clear” up your BV, but it sets up a decent environment to correct your biome if you have a lot of irritation. You still have to use probiotics (preferably both live oral and vaginal) to get things back on track. If you’re struggling, get Ph strips to use every day and work in boric acid if your Ph is too alkaline. This is a good stepping stone, but not a cure. And definitely over priced. Also, be careful of yeast infections while using this product, especially if your microbiome is destroyed by antibiotics. It gave me a yeast infection before I learned that the reason my biome is messed up is because of a lack of good bacteria and acidity.

MUST TRY!! Its amazing!
Oh my gosh this is awesome! I was diagnosed with BV for the first time and didn't want to take antibiotics because it can cause yeast infections. So I started popping 90 billion cultures of womens probiotics for a couple weeks then ordered this and after 1 use, GONE! :) I had thick white discharge with a not so great smell and the smell was gone immediately. I will say as the suppositories melt there is some leakage but nothing crazy. Also what comes out will be oily, obviously but get up in there after a day or 2 and scoop out any excess. I promise it will not smell bad at all! Then put some coconut oil inside you, the lactic acid keeps the environment favorable for good bacteria. It's been 4 days and still no smell or discharge. I really only needed 1 but I used another after sex because semen changes your ph. Please do not douche! I was trapped in a cycle of douching and after being diagnosed 2 weeks ago I've stopped, tried these, take probiotics daily and use coconut oil and it's amazing in there now. I actually let my husbands fingers back up there for the first time last night. So get this now!!

Worked for me
It worked for me. I was skeptical.. given the range of reviews here. I think it's expensive (only if it doesn't work).. lol. I considered it somewhat of a bargain- since I didn't have to go to the Dr's office (waste of 1/4 -1/2 of my work day & that would have been a $15 copay) & then go to the pharmacy for antibiotics. This happened once before to me & I did get antibiotics & it took a few days for the itching & odor/discharge to go away. This stuff worked the next day. It didn't all get absorbed - so some came out for the next 24h or so after the suppository ... but it was really only when I urinated (but I wore a pantiliner "just in case". Now, it's a week later & no return of itching or smell or discarge... so, I'm hoping I'm all good. I'm trying to keep up my diet with the yogurt with the live cultures... don't know if that helps for this... but seemed like a reasonable hedging of bets.

Just a moisturizer. Does nothing else and horrifically expensive!

I have only taken one of these because after the first one I got my period (so I couldn't take more). I will say that it has definitely had an effect on my symptoms. How "permanent" I do not know, but that's more based upon my experience. I am a 25 yr old, so I haven't been taking this due to menopause. I was worried it might not work for me because I was less of the "dry fishy" bv and more the discharge, but it has definitely changed that. I took this because I started itching and found out it was from BV. I would say that if you have itching--get the cream. I didn't because this stuff is already so expensive. But man, I was struggling. I ended up using hydrocortisone cream which really helped me, but I'm pretty sure that's not the best idea. Though to all you suffers out there, if you can't get the cream, that stuff really helps (but I think the cream would be better). Four stars because I think this stuff is too expensive. It's three tiny suppositories. I don't think the price is at all relevant or fair, no matter what their website says. BUT, it did do a lot for me, so 4 stars.

This product worked almost right away but the BV comes back. I ordered and used it 4 times, following the package instructions exactly as described. I had relief and then, to my dismay, symptoms started up again. This product is way too expensive to use continually. I finally opted for the antibiotics because they are cheaper and more effective in the long term.
