Easy to use
Bought this glucose monitor for monitoring my newly diagnosed cat. Very easy to use , the lancets that come included in the kit are also good although I didn’t use them with the pen device. I would say the only downside to this machine is the cost of new testing strips ! They are very expensive but unfortunately you have no choice but to keep buying them.Overall it is a easy machine to use , a tiny amount of blood is all you need and to keep my cats glucose levels as stable as possible is a priority.

Well worth the money!
Although it may seem costly at first it’s definitely worth it. Before purchasing I read on line that you could use a human blood sugar monitor and it would work just as well.A human one was cheaper but wish I hadn’t bothered as it just caused myself and my cat so much stress when trying to use it and it didn’t work. I would recommend purchasing the Alphatrek. It’s so easy to use and gives brilliant results every time.

Good product
Little expensive a lot cheaper on pet prescriptions or prescription website for Pet. The reader was very easy to use and the strips. The only problem I had was the pain it didn’t really pierce the skin very well that was very poor quality

Expensive device
This product was recommended by the vet as it’s the one that they use! The lancet device is useless so I’ve given up with that and the test strips are really expensive at £50 plus for 50 (£1 each to throw in the bin) but this item is calibrated for dogs and cats therefore you can’t just buy any monitor so all in all a very expensive piece of kit but it’s a necessity.

Not ideal for me
My westie obviously diabetic . However fidly to use the needles and device used to prick paw pad flimsy and not robustLot of money and used once . Would rather spend the money with vet , to get the readings

Bad designed lancing device.
Having returned again from my Vets the design has been changed in the Lancing device not for the better. this has resulted in undue stress both to myself and my dog,it has also ment excessive use of lancet needles and testing strips. As even the “experts” at my vets have had trouble with the equipment, I would appreciate a better designed lance device and replacement products wasted.Sorry it just doesn’t work, so I am unable to monitor my dogs glucose levels, I need new equipment urgently else it will be extra vet bills which I will be looking to pass on to you.
