Same as original battery
I bought this as a backup for the battery in my Hoover Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner. It works exactly the same as the one that came with the vacuum. It is also supposed to work with the handheld version of the vacuum as well. The battery does run full power for most of its cycle, but does quickly power down once it is almost dead. if you are in the middle of vacuuming, you can easily tell when it is about to die. The vacuum does have an indicator light to let you know when the battery needs charging, but you can obviously tell by that point anyway. If you buy the vacuum, a second battery is a must. The battery does charge relatively quickly (in a few hours), but it only lasts for about 15-30 of vacuuming. I recommend having two, and keeping one fully charged at all times.

Perfect and Lasts Long too
This Hoover LiNX replacement battery is fantastic. It fits my LiNX vacuum perfectly. Now I can vacuum a few rooms at one time, instead of stopping because the battery ran down. I have two five-year old batteries that were only lasting around 6 minutes before needing to be recharged. I knew I needed a new battery, but I put off buying one because of the price. It was well worth it! I love how much vacuuming time I get now before I have to charge the battery. I'm thinking about buying a second spare battery, and maybe I'll just recycle my two old ones.

Too early to tell
Battery charge life is decent. No complaints. This one replaces the original, which began to discharge/lose power very quickly while using after owning it about 2 years. Hopefully this one lasts at least as long.I got the impression from ratings of other batteries that you get what you pay for.

Battery has more power than original!
I love the Hoover cordless vacuum. Just perfect for cleaning up small spills and general vacuuming. I got good life from the original battery, but it finally was going. I only got a few minutes of vacuuming out of a full charge and felt that it had served me well.I purchased this new battery with some trepidation - some reviewers did not have good luck with theirs, but there's always Amazon's great return policy if there are problems, so I ordered. When it arrived it was totally dead. No problem, I put it in the charger and after a few hours it was ready to go. Having run with the old battery for so long I was pleasantly shocked by how long the charge lasted. Ran with 3 bars for a short time, then 2 bars for a long time, and then 1 bar for a long time. I didn't wait until I got the flashing bar signifying that it was almost dead. I recharged before I got there.I was curious if the battery was lasting really long or was it just my perception compared to the old and worn out battery. I checked the new battery and it is a 36Wh battery and the original one that came with the vacuum is a 30Wh battery. So, the new one has 20% more capacity - very nice! Very pleased with how long I can go between recharging now.

Hoover LINX Rechargeable Battery
After owning the Hoover LINX Cordless Stick Vacuum for several months I cannot imagine life without it. The only problem I have had with it is that the battery runs out of juice before I am finished cleaning. I have read in other reviews (and from personal experience with other Lithium-Ion batteries) that to preserve the overall life of the battery you should not continuously keep the battery in the charger or constantly recharge it if it still has a lot of charge remaining. If the battery is fully charged when I start cleaning I can time it just perfectly so it dies as I am finishing. However, if I just do a super quick cleaning I still have about half the battery life when I finish. The next time I use the vac with only half the battery life I am destined to run out of juice before I finish. I use the vac on about 1500 sq ft of tile and multiple short-pile area rugs. I also like to use the vac on my deeper-pile carpets for a surface cleaning when I don't feel like getting out my bigger, more powerful vacuum. Doing the "full routine" takes between 15-20 minutes.Having this extra battery has made cleaning much easier and more predictable for me. I do not have to plan whether I can clean thoroughly based on my battery life. Now I can start cleaning without worrying if I run out of battery juice. If the battery dies, I just pop the fully charged battery into the vac and put my completely drained battery in the charger. I bought the LINX Cordless Stick Vac to make life a little easier. By adding the spare battery to my arsenal I feel that my life IS easier.
