Ube Purple Yam Flavoring Paste Extract by Butterfly 2 Ounce with Mini Refrigerator Magnet

I used this in my ube crinkle cookies for added flavor and they turned out so delicious! The recipe called for food coloring as well but the color of this extract dyed the cookies a dark purple so I didn’t even need to use it.

This is a great ube flavoring but just be clean and cautious because it is also a strong purple food dye. Got a little on my fingers opening the bottle and was purple for the next day and a half. I worry it would do to a porous countertop.

Literally the best ube flavoring ever !! I use it to make iced coffee for my cold foams, waffle mix, pancakes, literally sooo good !!! I also just purchased another bottle can’t wait 😊😊

Tastes very good and just like I hoped, however the coloring is extremely intense. This is more like a flavoring and food coloring combined rather than just primarily a flavoring, so you cannot increase the strength of the flavor in whatever you are making without it significantly darkening the color as well. Also if you add too much and are sensitive to tastes, there is a slight bitter flavor from the coloring, however it is nowhere near as bad as some food colorings I have tasted (specifically red/pink ones). Overall good value for the price.

I’m so excited to be able to make my own ube ice cream! Both products were excellent value for the money, works well with most recipes, looks beautiful (that purple is so royal!) and offer good baking ability. The aroma is wonderful, too. Just what I was looking for.

Thanks to the reviews I was careful handling this product but silly me didn’t realize stains anything and anywhere! Look at my teeth after drinking it!!! Stained even my stainless steel jar! It is flavorful and you just need a little. Packaging is the worst and as mentioned previously, leaks all over. Note that this doesn’t have sugar, so I recommend adding some. I agree with the review that said it has an earthy taste. I did not receive the magnet either I love ube but this product raise so many red flags! It is flavorful and a vibrant color

I used it for baking a pan de ube. It’s highly pigmented. But it doesn’t have that much ube smell after baking.

I was skeptical at first when ordering this, thought it was expensive for the size. Since getting it, I realized that you literally only need a small amount for a beautiful color and great taste. I have been making coconut rolled cookies with it and they are so yummy. Definitely worth the price. My only complaint is that it drips when you try to pour a little from the bottle. I just got an eye dropper that I will sterilize and use to get it out cleanly.
