I researched thoroughly for a hair coloring product with no PPD, as I developed an allergy to the product I was using. I tried one other but found this product to be kinder to my scalp and hair. It colors as well as products with PPD and lasts just as long.

I've tried many brands of hair dye and this is my favorite for the past 6+ years. I'm Asian and I buy the Natural Brown shade. It's not irritating to my scalp and covers my greys really well. My hair color is a little dark right after dying, but fades slightly to give the right color over the next one or two shampoos. It leaves my hair looking shiny and silky right after dying. My hair stylist noted how it seems to color just the grey strands and leaves my dark strands dark so that makes it look like I have brown highlights. :) I removed one star because the kit is not always the same. When I first started buying it, it came with 2 shampoo packets and 2 conditioner packets, then they stopped including the conditioner, and my recent kit didn't have either shampoo or conditioner. However, it does still include a comb/brush applicator, mixing tray, disposable gloves and shoulder cover, which is more than other dye kits. The tubes are screw cap so sometimes I just use half a tube of each and save the rest for another time.

Love this product. It doesn’t burn my scalp. It does have an off putting smell when you’re using it but nothing a shampoo won’t fix. It leaves my hair smooth and silky after each treatment. I discovered this product when COVID happened and I couldn’t go to my hair dresser. It is so much better and I definitely don’t mind the significant savings. I have been using it since.

Smells awful when applied but no smell after washed off. Color is good.

I use this hair color regularly because it has great coverage and doesn’t dry out my hair like some of the other hair colors I’ve tried before. I always get the three pack because I color my hair so often. However, on my last order, all the shampoo packets were missing from all three boxes. I couldn’t return it because I needed to color my hair and wouldn’t get a replacement in time. This was the only time it’s happened and hopefully the next order will have the shampoo in it.
