Francois et Mimi Vintage-Style Stainless Steel French Coffee Press, 34-Ounce

We have used a French Press for years. Our older Palm Restaurant French Press is to small. This 34oz unit is very well made. I prefer stainless steel over glass any day.

This french press is absolutely divine! Love it, beautiful quality. I wish there was a matching kettle as well. Also, love that I will not be dealing with broken glass carafe anymore.

I had a glass french press and broke the glass. If you are accident prone , you definitely need this one. There are many really expensive french pressesover $100. I don't know why they are pricey but the only factor is the gauge of 5he stainless steel. This one is double walled and keeps your coffee hot for s little while but you can't expect miracles but I can say about an hour. Don't expect to leave coffee in it for hours. I don't think any french press will do that. For less than $20, it works great and it would be hard to break it. It's easy to disassemble and clean. I would strongly recommend.

Welp, I broke our Bodum French Press for the second time this past Monday 8/15/16, after only having the new Bodum replacement carafe for about 3 months. I guess its not a good idea to use butter as hand lotion, and it's best to leave the juggling of glass kitchen ware to all the creepy circus clowns. With that said, I was not happy and decided then and there I would get the unbreakable SS press if only I could find one that is as irreplaceable as me husband. I searched for hours and read review after review, trying to decide which one would win top prize and be me new coffee mate when, all of a sudden, dun dun dunnn... the heavens opened up and there she is, in all her beautiful shiny glory, me new French Press! I may have shed a tear at the magnificent French Press with the unique handle, lovely shape and perfect finial, all which reminds me of my spiffy Silver Service, on the computer screen at 2am, but I cannot remember. I wasted no time and read the reviews knowing I was getting it anyway and the rest is French Press history. BTW, it's big and the plunger goes all the way to the bottom. I was terrified knowing every morning I would have to put up with the horrible metal on metal, nails on chalkboard sound I so dreaded, but the sound is not what I expected at all, is quite mild, which didn't bother me poor wittle frightened ears. I don't usually drink coffee, as it makes me sleepy, but I can make a mean cup as well as espresso for me husband, who is worth every drop of tasty java.

I really out did myself true investment for women and men for a good price so very Euro for my kitchen hope I find the right apartment here in the Midwest back home again !!!

love, love, love this beautiful French coffee press. it works and looks great. worth the few extra dollars over some of the other presses because the end result is super rich, frothy, hot coffee. this press will make you smile before your lips even touch the edge of your cup because you know you won't be disappointed and just the simple elegance of the thing is so pleasing. you haven't arrived until you own this special press. it has heft and it's built to last but most important, just as important as that first cup of coffee that sets the tone for the day, this French press truly delivers! makes about three big cups and the coffee stays hot and great tasting. rinse slowly with hot water before spooning in the coffee--that ensures continued heat way after the process is complete. this is a fun device to use and it bumps up any kitchen quite a few notches.

I ordered this NEW to be a holiday gift for a friend but very disappointingly it was not giftable as it should have been because the item's box was mangled and appeared to be a returned item. Amazon, please stop trying to pass off returned items as "new"! Also there were fingerprints inside of the coffee press since of it someone obviously returned this and it should have not been sent to me in that condition! I am not returning it for this to happen to someone else, instead got a minimal promo credit which should have been a full refund considering it was meant to be a holiday gift for a friend and should have arrived NEW as I ordered it to be! Receiving used returned items when ordering new especially when it a gift for some else is unacceptable! Aside from the squeaky plunger and distasteful tore up condition of the product box and fingerprints inside the press, the design of it is very nice, the outside is shiny & pretty, and the inside is seamless so no leaks will happen.
