Good pencils at a good price
These Crayola pencils are good colored pencils at a good price. I ordered them to go with an adult coloring book I bought someone as a gift. After purchasing the coloring book, I thought it wouldn't be a very good gift if she didn't already have colored pencils or crayons to use with it, so I purchased both these Crayola pencils as well as some Crayola crayons.

You are able to color with these coloring pencils without the problem of having skips or the color is not showing on paper good.
I have been buying my daughter the Crayola brand since she started school. I prefer these over a cheap brand. You can't just say all brands of coloring pencils or crayons are the same. They really are not. You are able to color with these coloring pencils without the problem of having skips or the color is not showing on paper good. My daughter still uses this brand of coloring pencils today in 7th grade. She have to use them in her history class and maybe in science class. These are my go-to coloring supply! I have a few of the "adult coloring books" and these colored pencils have been used to color so many pages! I've tried cheaper brands but they don't seem to be as bright and need a lot more pressure for the colors to fully show. 1. The pencils have a generally good laydown of color, with the caveat of the few colors that don't work well (true also of my most expensive colored pencils, I must say). Laydown is smooth and uniform, with bright, rich color. 2. The pencils sharpen very well, with ease of cutting through the wood casing and with the color lead core supporting a very fine point when desired. 3. The lead core seems generally resistant to breakage (a problem that can occur with most pencils, even the most expensive). 4. The pencils are physically light. 5. The set comes in 50 colors, which is a great size for lots of drawing without committing to large collection sizes. Are these pencils as good as the best Swiss, French, and German colored pencils? No. But they are close, and actually much closer than one would ever think, given that these are marketed as kid's pencils. The price is right, the colors are great, and the performance is really good. How can you go wrong? Five stars for price, five stars for color selection, and four stars for performance.

GOOD PENCILS - GOOD BRAND NAME - GOOD PRICE AND PRIME!
They are very good pencils. They don't wear down quickly, have really nice colors, they are at least twice as long as those little short pencils that come with some coloring kits and Crayola is a wonderful reliable brand name. They color well for adult coloring books and I'm sure they do just as well for children. I researched prices and products and settled on these pencils and with the lowest price I could find after reviewing all the other venders with the same item and it was even a prime item!

I have Prismacolors in the 48 box and love them but sometimes I'm not trying to be all ...
I got these to color with. I have Prismacolors in the 48 box and love them but sometimes I'm not trying to be all artistic and I just wanna color and maybe color outside the line so this is what these little bad boys do for me. I don't mind if a tip breaks because these are so inexpensive that it doesn't faze me, to be honest I seldom have the tips break on these anyhow. They are nice pencils and the colors are good. I'd highly recommend these for kids (obviously) and adults who just want to enjoy coloring for relaxation and to scrape some anxiety off the top of their day.

These colored pencils are vibrant and look great.
These are really nice colored pencils, especially for a set that's more value priced. I've noticed that several people have complained that these pencils' tips break easily and don't sharpen well, but I have not had that experience. I had one pencil that broke a little right after I had sharpened it, but it had been over-sharpened and the tip was a little brittle. Once the pencil dulled a little bit, it worked just fine. I have only sharpened these in an electric sharpener and they sharpen nicely. Maybe manually sharpening them is more difficult. The colors are very vibrant too. I've had value colored pencils in the past that just looked like pastel colors no matter how heavily I colored with them. These are bright and feel good in the hand when using them. I'm really loving using these in my new adult coloring book. I've included some pictures to show what the colors look like on paper.

I use these colored pencils with young children...
As an artist, I only use these Crayola pencils when I am working with young children. Teaching young children how to draw and then have them color in their drawings, I am certainly not expecting a masterpiece. For them it is frustration free coloring. I can easily teach them the very basics of warm and cool colors and what colors go nicely together. They can also just "play" because that's what children are supposed to do. For myself I would not use these in my artwork unless I am just making preliminary sketches or just casually coloring. In my own artwork, I use higher quality pencils such as Prismacolor. However, I do really like these when working with children as they do a fine job of getting the picture colored and are easily sharpened. PROS *Great variety of colors *Perfect for children to color with *Good for just coloring in the basics CONS *Not creamy

My toddler prefers using felt tips because they are so bright (and messy?) - I am less of a fan so bought these hoping she'd like them better than the regular colouring pencils she has which leave a pathetic faint, hardly-there colour on the page. Indeed, I was not disappointed, the colours are coming our brighter and bolder than any other pencil she has. The pencil body is smooth, round and easy enough to grip. I haven't had to sharpen one yet but it doesn't feel like it'd be difficult to do - they seem to be a good quality pencil and I'm glad I purchased them.
