Beauty Retinol Serum, Skin Smoothing Face Oil for Dark and Age Spots and Fine Lines, Facial Serums for Dry and Sensitive Skin Care with Hyaluronic Acid for Soft Smooth Skin, 2 Fl Oz

For the price, I don't think this serum can be beat. My reasoning is below. First, the things some people may not like: - This retinol serum is not "thick," but it is not like water either. I would put it at a "thin gel" consistency. This isn't a bad thing in and of itself (you won't lose it "running away" like watery serums), but some people like the watery-type serums more. This is definitely thicker than water. - This serum contains retinol. I know this is an odd reason to say someone may dislike it, but I read a lot of the negative reviews before purchasing this product (I always do), and many of them seemed directly related to retinol itself. Until skin is used to it, which can take a couple of weeks, retinol can burn, flake, and cause skin irritation. I never use new retinol products more than 2-3 times a week until I know my skin is used to it... and if you aren't willing to do that with any new retinol product, you can expect some irritation. - The packaging is more than adequate, and pretty protective, but it is incredibly simple. I assume that's why it costs less than some other retinol serums on Amazon (they didn't spend the money on packaging?), but every other retinol I've ordered/bought in stores has had pretty nice/fancy packaging. I didn't mind the packaging because I didn't buy it for the packaging, and the packaging wasn't in any way ugly... but it's not "spiffy," which might throw some people off (the product itself looks high quality and nice, the contact info is a US company, and the bottle was sealed, so we're good there). Now the good: - It has, literally, the same active ingredients as some of the much higher priced serums out there. No joke. I don't know how this is possible (again, packaging?), but after talking to a few companies through email... there is literally no difference in the active ingredients. - It has worked as well for me as my normal, much higher priced retinol-based products. I know each person's skin is different (disclaimer: my skin is already acclimated to retinol), but I see no difference in my skin between this and my other retinol which was five times the price. Obviously, I didn't expect a miracle product (I don't buy into that hype), but at this price I feel it has more than lived up to its value. - Many of the ingredients are organic (the title says 72%), and it is vegan (I asked). BONUS! - They contacted me in an email after I ordered and told me they have a 100% money-back guarantee, even if the bottle is empty. I think that's a bit ridiculous, especially as this cost me less than $11, but who am I to judge... I won't be sending it back, but evidently you can if you want to. - The product came with a card which had their customer service's email on it (I used it to ask if the serum was vegan, which it is). Oh, and I got a message after I emailed them, from the "founder of the company," asking if I had any questions on how to use the serum, asking if I was "satisfied," and reminding me that if I didn't like it I could return it for a refund. I didn't respond, but was pretty impressed by the fact they reached out on an $11 product. For the reasons above, I feel I can give this product a solid 5-stars. If I change my mind for any reason (if it stops working as well as my normal retinol, for instance), I will update this, but I have definitely gotten my money's worth. I have read their vit c serum is fairly decent, so may try that next. I am still undecided as I like my current c serum, so would appreciate anyone who has used it responding to this to give me your thoughts (I prefer "verified purchase" responders please, because I trust those more). I have used retinol products in the past, and have always had a love/hate relationship with them. I love the benefits of using them, but the drawbacks are a drag. Namely, the peeling, flaking, and shedding of my skin. None of this was a problem with this Tree of Life serum. Now, you might think that's a good thing, but I am not convinced. The flaking and peeling at least let me know that the product was working, having some effect on my skin. I religiously used this Tree of Life serum every night before applying my nighttime moisturizer for about a month. It absorbs well into the skin and allows me to put a layer of moisturizer over top, which I appreciate. I do appreciate that it works on my sensitive skin and doesn't cause any irritation like some other products have in the past. I just don't know if it's doing any good without the telltale flaking that comes from using retinol products. I haven't noticed my fine lines or sun damage disappearing in that time, though maybe more time is needed. To be honest, I probably wouldn't purchase this product again, knowing there are other, seemingly more effective retinol-based products available instead.

I gave tree of life a 5 star for the Retinol because it made alot of fine lines, facial lines and wrinkles under my eyes disappear within 1 week. I have also been using Kojic san acid soap as a cleaner and Thayers witch hazel with aloe vera formula and real rose petals alcohol free. I rinsed with cold water only. Before the Retinol Kojic acid did smooth skin removed wrinkles and shrink large pores as i still had few on my skin. I used the soap once daily at least 5 or 6 days out of tbe week. I still use the soap and after i use toner if not toner tree of life Retinol and allow to dry then i apply tree of life Haluronic Acid and both Retinol and Haluronic Acid wiped away the wrinkles fine lines frown lines shrunked pores smooth skin brighten skin firmed skin moisturized skin and feels so smooth and baby soft. I see a big difference in my skin after buying the Retinol. I received the Haluronic Acid Free for purchasing the retinol as a Free gift by confirming order email address and complete mailing address and the quicker i responded the quicker i received as promised from tree of life as well as free skin care guidance as little as 1 week. I love the way this product change my skin and i include it in my regimen daily and would recommend this product amd its safe on skin. I will continue to by this product each time as needed and before running out. Thank you tree of life for removing this terrible facial line i couldnt stand sight on my face and fine lines under my eye area. Makeup looks flawless now. I am one happy satisfied customer. Again thank you Tree of Life : ) PS if you have sensitive skin like i have do not use Kojic San Acid Soap because the acid in the soap will cause a stinging hot burning sensation after applying Retinol apply small amount little by little use a small fan or fan hands to help absorb up product in skin to help relieve the stinging sensation. It has not damaged or harmed my skin at all. But leaving Kojic san soap on to long can cause irration and burning leaving skin with sores or skin darking because it is the real acid in soap to remove old skin dead cells and bring in lighter brighter new skin. It tightens pores lightens skin by removing hyper pigmentation dark and brown spots which removed alot from my face and body. Will dry out skin so use a moisturizing lotion and sun block to prevent skin from re-darking. Stay out of the sunlight or skin will turn very dark. Do wash with soap and go out right after. It darkened my skin back up but i used soap again to continue lighting and it still reversed i do use soap when going out only when im inside all day.

I loves this serum. I am using the second bottle. I find a slight decreasing of fine lines on my face which is a plus point. What i do not like is the lack of info and direction of usage provided. I have spent so much of those expensive French products but i do not see any effect but this Tree Of Life Retinol does. It will takes time, they are not miracle cream but at least i can see improvements.

I so love this serum..I’m a first time user of this brand but gotta say i really like it already..it soothes my skin ..and feels so good and refreshing..doesn’t leave your skin but instead it has that after glow after putting it..more confident now with my face and skin😊

La consistencia del producto es buena y se absorbe muy bien, yo lo aplico después de lavarme la cara por las mañanas y no me puedo quejar, mi piel luce más fresca y tersa. Algo que vale la pena mencionar, es que no he tenido ninguna reacción en la piel y que lo estoy combinando con un suero de ácido hialurónico y vitamina C. En general bien, creo que si lo volvería a comprar.
