Read the instructions!
I plugged it in and it did not work. I looked in Device Manager and it said the driver was not migrated. Figured I needed a new USB driver. Then I picked up the box and the instructions fell out. RTFM! It is working. I bought this for my company's new IP phone system. Hope it works! This thing is small! It is about 1 1/2 inches wide and 6 inches long. Cord looks to be about 5 feet long.

Don't
This may be the flimsiest device I've ever bought on Amazon. It's simply a USB speaker and mic in a flimsy, undersized housing

Would purchase again
As others have said this is very very light - think toy telephone receiver with almost no weight - it's not a bad thing, it's just a little weird. In fact, the cord is actually heavier than the handset. Call quality is good, volume control is sort of a dial - it's actually a round toggle but it works well. Loud enough that I turned almost all the way down to use comfortably. It has a USB-A connector - so I bought A to C adapters to be able to use with my current set up. I added the adapter, plugged into the laptop and made a phone call within seconds. The thing I don't like is that it is technically a speaker so when I was on a call any alerts that popped up came through on the handset, but that happens with headphones too. There might be a setting that I can change for that but it's not a big deal. Overall, I would purchase again. Although it's brand new, so we'll see how long it lasts. For $43 I will be upset with anything less than a year. If it lasts longer, that will be great.

The phone speaker feature.
I like the size. The phone is better than using the head-set. Our phones do not ring every second of the day, so, we do not need the wired headphones all the time. It's too bad that the phone has become obsolete, we could use approx 20 right now.

This USB receiver is smaller than a normal phone receiver
I used this ALTEAM USB receiver to replace a faulty receiver or reception desk uses with the Microsoft Teams desktop app for managing calls. The sound quality is great and it automatically installed without issue. (True plug and play). The only issue I have with it is that the receiver itself is much smaller than a normal phone receiver. The reception staff mentioned it doesn't feel "normal" when talking to people. When you're talking on the receiver the mouth part, (microphone) is away from your mouth when speaking when you have the speaker part to your ear. Other than that, it seems to be a good unit. Just be aware of the small size.

Weak mic
Receiving is ok but you practically have to yell into the one little hole they have to talk into. I would not purchase this again.

The handset is very durable
I use this handset in my place of work. We have to answer intercoms between different consoles and it works. Great, every time love the volume control.
