Being the bergamot lover I am, I'd been eyeing this brand but at the time felt the Kopari deodorant I was already using was a bit expensive at $14. What I had liked about that one was the cruelty free aspect and it didn't streak on clothes, but it also didn't totally prevent odor for me. So, with a Black Friday sale price of $20, and liking the M+G brand story, I went for it late 2023. Two years later, it's all I will use and it's definitely worth the money for me. A stick lasts me nearly a year (I am female, but I'm active and do sweat a lot). The scent is wonderful and it prevents odor for me all day, even if I skipped a shower. I don't ever have a skin reaction to it and it doesn't streak my clothes. The price is more than many people want to pay, but it's an honest, high quality and cruelty free product that works. Rare combo.

The MALIN+GOETZ deodorants smell fresh and sophisticated without being overpowering. The eucalyptus and bergamot versions are crisp and energizing, while the Otto scent feels a bit warmer and more elegant. The formula goes on smoothly, doesn’t irritate my skin, and lasts well through the day for a natural deodorant. It’s a bit pricey, but the clean ingredients and refined scents make it worth it if you prefer something gentle and premium.

So I decided to take a risk and spend 25 bucks on a deodorant based on its claims and the reviews. I did enjoy the light scent and the fact that it did not leave any residue or stains on my shirts. It worked well but did need reapplication throughout the day if sweating a lot, which is understandable and I didn’t mind. But unfortunately for me I would break out into a rash/ irritation after using it for a couple days in a row. But my rating is simply for the fact that when I contacted the company about it, they said they could not help me since I bought it on Amazon, but ironically Amazon can’t help either. So just know that you are taking a risk with buying it if you end up being sensitive or allergic to it since the company will not help you out if you buy it here.

Aluminum-free deodorant that actually works for everyday activity. The gel formula goes on clean with zero residue on clothes. Eucalyptus scent is subtle and fresh without being overpowering. Keeps odor at bay through a standard workday and light exercise. Won't survive intense workouts or summer heat the way antiperspirant would, but that's the tradeoff with aluminum-free formulas. If you're switching away from traditional antiperspirants, this is a solid option with realistic expectations.

Hands down the best aluminum free deodorant ever made. Both my husband and I use this and it’s perfect. Doesn’t stink, you don’t stink either. It stays on and doesn’t leave residue. We’ve not bought any other brand in years.

I wanted to switch to a natural deodorant (rather than combined deodorant + antiperspirant) and after doing some research decided to try this one. I’m mad I didn’t do it sooner. The smell is so nice, very earthy/natural. I also have sensitive skin and haven’t had any issues with a rash or negative skin reaction which is great. It works really well and the only time I’ve noticed body odor is if I’ve been stress sweating at work for a while or if I was super active all day - even then I barely notice any BO, it seems to really reduce odor in ways that antiperspirants I’ve used in the past can’t even compare to. Only thing I had to get used to was it does go on a bit wet but that doesn’t bother me, just had to adjust to the feeling. It dries pretty quickly.

Overall, the product is not that great, and certainly not a good value given its high price. The scent is good, but does not last long. You would have to reapply to maintain the scent. I've also had issues with the cap not screwing back on properly. Not sure if this manufacturing defect is common, but it's annoying when packing it for travel (it just won't close all the way). Also, as someone with sensitive skin, this product still made my armpits very red (but it did not cause noticeable discomfort), and it happened after every use. I could not continue using it after a few weeks from concern of my skin health.

I have been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for about a year now. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and I decided to remove myself from harsh chemicals. I was willing to pay anything for a deodorant that was natural and long lasting. Like many others I started at whole foods to no avail. Toms and other brands do not last and cause irritation. I read about this deodorant on Valet and decided to give it a try. The price seemed well worth it if it indeed lasted 24 hours. The first week it last about 12 and it pleasant Eucalyptus smell was reminiscent of muscle rubs. Not terrible but not what you would expect. I did experience a little irritation but nothing major. By week three the stick no longer had a scent and it would not last past 10 am. I work in an office that enjoys blasting the a/c at 60f and am station at desk for nine hours. So I was disappointed. I know that natural deodorants are not meant for the gym or strenuous work but I type all day. Perhaps it is my ph or it is not compatible with my body. But under my recommendation other friends have tried it and rendered the same results. Like I said I know this won't protect me during my daily work outs but my office work?
