More than just Urban
As a preface I'm 100% in the suburban camp - we've got about 1.5 acres on the outskirts of a big city roughly 25 minutes from anything considered downtown. Despite this - Kevin's book has a bunch of useful information that can be expanded beyond just urban gardening in a small space. I've got more land than I know what to do with, but this book still has great tips on using raised beds, creating good soil conditions, and handy cheat-sheets for plant spacing as well as tips for protecting seedlings which is useful no matter where you plant. I think the coolest part about having this book at hand is that I have some great information about outdoor gardening, but if I wanted to grow some more fragile plants or ones that may not necessarily enjoy my climate he's got a whole section on step-by-step DIY hydroponic and indoor planting as well. Who knows - might take advantage of my state's new laws with that one we'll see ;). Great book, a good resource, and cheap to boot! That and Kevin's very active on his youtube with consistent updates, tips, and advice. The book's an amazing resource, but Kevin is, too! Follow this guy and you won't regret it.

Nice photos
Book was ok. I’m a big fan of Epic Gardening on YouTube. Started watching this year. Thought I would try the book out, but found it wasn’t really for me. A bit too simple at times or found areas that just didn’t pertain to me. Not a waste though, The pictures are great and there were a few tidbits that I see being useful for this growing season.

Excellent Resource
Well Done! I have purchased many gardening books over the past 50 yrs. This book is well thought out, organized, has a great table of contents and is illustrated with useful and beautiful photos. It also has detailed charts and tables organizing info for easy access. I’ll buy more for gifts!

This book WILL change the world !! I could not put it down!!
I have gardened in SE Florida for 50 years. Tropical gardens. Orchids, butterfly gardens etc. Recently I became a kidney transplant patient and buying produce is now a scary situation for me. No idea who touched it, where grown constant recalls, etc. I remembered as a child I grew tomatoes and lettuce once. I began thinking hey I can grow my own veggies without fear, but have no idea how. I found Kevin’s Epic Gardening video. Ordered this book for next day delivery. It is Unbelievable!!! I never grew edibles due to HOA no garden rule. Now with containers grow bags and raised bags I can. Kevin makes me feel at ease knowing I can go to this book for help!! He makes it so simple and you learn how to avoid mistakes!! I love it!!!

Great book! I highly recommend!!
I'm one of those people that have decided to dip their big toe into gardening with all this quarantine stuff. Kevin Espiritu came up in my searches and I've been listening to his podcasts and watching his videos to help direct me. Even though I live in a suburb house with a backyard, I am interested in starting in raised beds or containers. Kevin's book has helped me wonderfully in this area. I started with herbs and I've already moved on to vegetables that just started sprouting a couple of days ago. I feel so accomplished! Thanks, Kevin, for your insight, honesty and encouragement. Your enthusiasm is infectious! I can really tell this is your passion and you love it. But you help those of us that are just getting started to not feel too overwhelmed. Your book is beautiful and packed with the knowledge I need! Keep up the amazing work!!

Comprehensive and Interesting - love Epic Gardening!
I first was introduced to Epic Gardening via YouTube and loved the accessibility that Kevin (the author) brings to gardening. In "Field Guide", he shares information on many different topics in a way that is simple yet comprehensive . This book gives me hope that even though I live in an apartment with no balcony, I can STILL grow vegetables if I creatively use my space! A great book for anyone interested in gardening, anyone living in an apartment or small/urban space, or anyone that loves a good DIY project.
