great alternative to legos - keeps kids busy for hours
bought this for my nephew for Christmas. He loves it. But he is also the kind of kid who can sit and concentrate on a meticulous task for hours. It takes patience to assemble and the directions are not always as clear as they could be. I recommend getting some zip lock bags to store the pieces in between use - there are a ton of tiny pieces that can easily be lost if you are not careful.

Great toy for the little one
The diagrams are not 100% intuitive at first, but if you stare at them long enough they’ll become second nature. So you do have to be a little patient at first.I spent a long time looking for something like this; I want the little one to get a knack for assembling and disassembling and improving dexterity creativity and problem solving. Infinitely better than having them watch TV. And it kills a lot of time. As the inflation runs rampant in our economy, I can’t help but think this is a decent price to pay for such a great product that got me valuable time with my kid. It’s fun for sure, quality isn’t bad at all. Naturally the kid lost like ten parts so I have to order the replacements :)

Great step up from the robot and auto kits
My son loves the products from this company (he is 5.5 years old). He was able to build with great ease and the pieces were appropriately sized for him. I would say that the direction booklet was different than the building kits of the past and he struggled to deal with the change. Instead of largish images they were smaller and showed many pieces being attached at the same time but there are lines to show where they attach. This is different from the other booklets and from LEGO booklets so it was difficult for him to get at first. However he built without my or his father’s help after the initial request. He really likes the robots and feels excited each time they work. Downside- needs batteries and the motor is louder than I thought it would be. It’s not crazy loud more like a race track loud level.

Not for a 5 year old!
Neat concept, but this is not for a 5 year old. Age should be 7 or 8+. Directions are long and difficult to follow. End product of the robots are cool, and my 5 year old likes playing with them, but she was not helpful in building.Engineering concepts are discussed throughout the story which is great! I enjoyed learning these concepts with my 5 year old.

I would suggest 8+
Super cute set and the company was great at replacing a piece when we lost one. The pieces are tougher to get together and the instruction a bit detailed for the age suggested in the package. I would suggest 8+ for individual play. Any younger would need help. Will definitely buy more.

Great creative toy
We got this for an almost 4 year old that likes challenging building things and robots. She can't build it on her own yet, but can with help, and loves playing with each design for a day or two before building the next. The screw for the motor piece to secure batteries was missing. We used tape to secure. When making the stomp bot, that bot doesn't always operate and we thought it was the battery pack shaking lose. It is not. It is just the design. The rest of the bots have operated as expected. Such a fun creative kit for a really reasonable price. If you have a builder - this is awesome.

Great stem toy
My 4yo is a robot fan. He really enjoy this toy. With some help he is able to build the different robots. The pieces were appropriately sized for his hands. He really feels excited each time he use this robot. At first sight I was skeptical about the product quality but its decent quality and woks really well.
