Best Naturals NAC N-Acetyl-Cysteine 600 mg 250 Capsules

My wife and I have been taking this brand NAC for a few months. I have no way to know how good it is, as supplements are not well regulated, so I can't comment on that. We take NAC because if may have value if we become infected with the novel coronavirus, that causes COVID-19. And with regard to the odor, this is my experience: I noticed the normally expected sulfur odor when I opened the bottle to distribute the pills to my daily Rx sorter, but I have never noticed any odor when I am taking the pills each day. Yes, it is mildly annoying for a few minutes upon opening the bottle for the first time, but it has not bothered me since, and when I just opened it again, today, I had to hold the open bottle near my nose to notice any odor at all. As others have noted, if it is actually NAC, it is supposed to smell of sulfur ("rotten eggs"). That just indicates it is likely to be real NAC.

Gonna be upfront, the container has the heavy smell of sulfur (eggs/flatulence). Makes it very unappealing to take but thats going to be the issue with any brand that sells this because of the compound its made of. Thankfully it doesnt taste like that, once removed from the container, the pills themselves dont have a strong smell and have no real taste. I'm using it for an off-label purpose so I cannot attest to reduced inflammation. Im taking it in combination with guanfacine (new potential aid to recover from brainfog due to long covid. small case study with a tiny sample size that isnt impactful enough to tout it as a "cure"). Seems to help with my brain fog a little bit....so it "works" i guess. lol.

Waste of time and money. Strong Bad smell like old fish. I tried one of these and the fishy smell lingered with me 24 hours. Not worth it. I have used other brands of NAC, and one had NO smell at all, and the other just barely noticeable. I feel like something is wrong here. Lots of positive reviews, but 20% negative, which I missed. The bottle I got was bad, Maybe a bad batch, or maybe got overheated in manufacturing, storage or shipping, which is a Quality Control Issue and not my problem. I am throwing out and will not buy again. Nor will I buy this brand again due to quality control issues. Bad product. Waste of money.

Sulfur is a detoxifier in the body. I take this to detour insects on the skin. It is the only thing that worked for me. It's sulfur, and they don't like sulfur so that's why it smells like sulfur because it is. The bonus is it's a detoxifier. Some people draw insects- maybe their pheromones? Others don't, especially mosquitos. If I take this and put on a repellent (40% deet), I'm ready to face the world. Best Naturals is always a good product.

Have used this product before and was pleased with the results.

Unusable chaos. Nearly all the pills stuck together, and welded into a glue-like mass, or disintegrated into foggy, spidery weblike filaments exploding wall-to-wall within the bottle. At first, on removing the clear plastic seal and unscrewing the bottle’s lid, I thought the spiderweb-like filaments I was running into were from the cotton padding one initially finds in bottles of pills to keep the pills more or less immobile. Not true. Instead, inside the bottle was, on one side, the mass of capsules all stuck together in a congealed mass and firmly attached to one wall of the plastic bottle. And across the rest of the bottle’s interior were spidery wall-to-wall webs of threadlike filaments — the residue of some sort of disintegrative process originating in the breakdown of the capsules’ walls or contents or both. The capsules themselves are unreclaimable, given their congealed-to-each other condition. A little pressure on one or several could not free them from the larger, firmly glued-together, mass. Instead, the capsule wall immediately ruptures, spilling the chemical powders inside the capsules onto my fingertips and elsewhere. So, what Best Naturals sent me — in response to my advance payment — was not any proper N-Acetyl Cysteine supplement, but an unholy mess. I first intended to simply contact the company and ask for a proper bottle of the NAC supplement or, possibly, a refund of the entire amount of my expenditure. However, the number of hoops the Best Naturals website requires one to jump through to get decent service convinced me this company needs to learn a lesson. Thus this posting.

Deshecho y con mal olor, mi casa es fresca así q no creo q sea por q las deje en el calor, espero q la empresa responda, gracias

Yes there is a smell but it’s easy to swallow. All capsules fine. Good quality the smell is normal very happy
