When I received these in the mail I was really impressed by how well-built they were. Very heavy duty, thick cast jaws. Long handles to be able to apply a lot of clamping pressure. Definitely a nice tool, and made in the US. They surely cost a little bit more because they are made in this country… But you know that when you order them. I was willing to pay a little bit more because of that to get a quality tool and I was OK with it but I realize that the value for money is not quite there so I didn’t subtract one star. All Midwest tools are slightly heavy, even the red handled siding snips, but they do the job well. I usually wear a toolbelt and then I have a Klein bucket to keep the heavier items near me. I've been buying Midwest for many years and will continue!

My favorite tongs yet for HVAC. Durable but heavy. The offset is a much needed improvement from my last pair.
