Noodler's Ink Fountain Pen Bottled Ink, 3oz - General of the Armies

Wonderful ink. Love the shade of green. Very cool ink. Feels smooth coming out of my Scrivener Fountain pen. I've been told it should change color with age. Haven't seen that yet. But it was actually visible when I smeared some. Kind of a wet ink so be aware of that. Very nice product. And you get a lot to. Probably my second favorite ink.

Bulletproof green - Generals Armies, another awesome Noodler ink! Noodler Inks are the bomb, especially the Bulletproof ones. This green is the army green like the little toy soldiers. Not too light, not too dark, not too bright - it's just right! Plus, it's Bulletproof! Safe for archival and should things get wet - your ink will stay put, won't run, smear or fade. This is a great color for drawing attention to or adding comments to notes or documents bc it doesn't get lost in the sea of black. I also personally like it for general daily use bc I don't like the monotony of the same old black or maybe blue. It's subdued enough to not be over-the-top-in-your-face, i.e. professional enough. Enjoy. I highly recommend it.

Love to color. Super wet ink though. Had to go down to an EF nib on my LAMY Studio to calm it down a bit.

My interest as an artist is to have access to light stable fountain pen inks...hence why I choose bulletproof. I like this General of the Armies color, you could say it's a greenish blue black. If you prefer extra fine nibs this works great it seems thus far. I also use Brown 41 but that fouls most of my extra fine pens unless you use them constantly and even then problems. General of the Armies as I said flows well but could be too wet if you like medium or broader nibs ; I would imagine. I mixed an eyedropper of Brown 41 with same amount of General of the Armies and it seems to help the 41 flow but needs more testing..also it made for a strange slate gray /brownish /greenish color . if that makes any sense . The General is a nice color for writing and I like it for drawing. I have a vintage Esterbrook superfine nib and General works very well producing fine hair lines out of that nib. One must keep in mind that different inks have different flows or is it just viscosity? That with nib style and paper choice makes fountain pens a unique experience that can take some mastering.

Being a fan of the color green, I wanted a nice green color ink for my fountain pens. I wanted something darker and not too bright. Being new to fountain pens and inks, wasn't aware that some stores sells sample packs of ink, so looking at some colors I settled on this one as it looked like a nice color on the Amazon page. I'm happy to say I quite like the color after getting it. It is a very nice dark green that has slight color variations depending on the paper and size nib of the pen. On some papers and nibs it appears more black, and some it appears more green. I hesitate to call it blue when dry though as they call it in the description. I'm very pleased with it and I keep one of my pens filled with it all the time.

This is a "tiny plastic soldiers" green, slightly softened. It is very wet. I use a medium nib and get a nice broad line, unlike my other inks that aren't so free-flowing. This is an excellent ink if you want to write fast, but still keep the nib smooth and lubricated. The color is easy on the eyes to read.

This ink is a nice green color—it's definitely not blue. Maybe a darker/more blue green than a straight up green, but there's no way you could call the dry color blue. All that said, it's a nice shade and writes well in my Yiren pens (the ones that look like a Lamy Safari, though the nibs aren't as good). It dries pretty quickly, so I don't have the issues with smearing that I get with Eel Blue. Recommended, but I'd just view this as a green ink rather than a color changing ink.

Malheureusement, le bouchon de la bouteille était craqué. Donc, j'ai été obligé de transférer le reste de l'encre dans une autre bouteille. Belle couleur sur les doigts. A plus de 30$ la bouteille, j'hésite a en acheter d'autres.
