This AHCC with NAC and Beta Glucan is another excellent supplement combination from Solaray. It's easy to take, only 1 capsule, no taste, and it packs 500mg of AHCC made from a blend of mushroom extracts. I assume that shikate makes up a large portion of that, but there is no distinction on the labeling. The added NAC and Beta Glucan further support immune health, and this combination is good for diffiuclt to treat viral infections. It's a bit pricy, but Solaray is a quality brand.

Solaray is a supplement brand I trust. I wanted to try this product, as it has an interesting mix of ingredients. However, it's unclear what this supplement is intended to target. Immune support is difficult to assess. The motto "let Solaray help you shine" doesn't say much. I feel rather shiny though. I've taken the bottle and don't feel any real benefit. No ill effects, just not worth another bottle, at least for me.

Solaray is my favorite supplement manufacturer, for the simple reason that when Consumer Labs tests Solaray products, they actually contain exactly what their labels say they contain, an in the amounts claimed. Therefore, I knew I'd be getting good value when I ordered this AHCC supplement. Keeping my immune system functional and my skin supple are among my priorities right now, and AHCC is, from what I've read, a great thing to support those goals. This is the first product I've tried that adds NAC and beta glucan with mushroom extract to the mix, and so far it's working well. The capsules are easy to swallow, and there is no offensive odor or taste to them. I've been using this supplement for a couple of weeks now, and I feel great. Adding it to my pill regimen has been easy. There's a lot of value here. I'm quite happy with this order!

I’ve taken mushroom supplements on and off, but not consistently, and not shiitake specifically. I was initially attracted to this supplement because Solaray is a big name and because I take NAC regularly to help with A1AD-related things. The capsules are medium-large, but I had no issues swallowing them. They smell vaguely plant-like, I suppose (I was afraid they’d stink like button mushrooms can). They do say to take these on an empty stomach, but I cannot really go long with an empty stomach due to gastric ulcers, so we’ll see if that affects any of the promised benefits. Overall, while I don’t normally gravitate to combo supplements, the AHCC + NAC + beta glucan seems to be a smart combination. The NAC dosage itself is on the small side for what I prefer but NAC is also not the main character, so I might not have expected that. And I can always pair it with my existing NAC supplement. In sum, I think this is a well-formulated supplement and I do get peace of mind from knowing that it’s from one of the biggest names in supplement brands.

It's hard to know if these are having an effect because it's not something you can feel. However, I can say that when I took these, I did not get sick even being around people that were sick. This supplement and brand are both known to be good though, and the price of these were a lot lower than others I've taken. So far, I have no complaints and would keep taking them!

I don't have any complaints about these supplements. They are easy to take, and dont have any off-putting taste or smell. I like Solaray's products and this is no exception.
