Very cute and appeared well made, but still too large ( though I measured) for the purpose for which I bought it., so I had to return it.

The 2.4 inch nests are the perfect size to display a single normal-sized egg vertically. This suited my purposes, since I bought these nests to display decorated Easter eggs. Setting them up vertically allowed more of the eggs to show, so I'm really glad I ordered these. They are stronger than an actual bird's nest, but still somewhat fragile. Think "nest" and you won't be disappointed--just about any nest is going to be a bit fragile but that's part of the beauty. That said, these held my heavy alabaster eggs just fine. One did have trouble staying upright with the heavier egg in it, as these nests are not flat on the bottom, nor do they have any give to them--you cannot make them flat without breaking wooden pieces off, which I did not attempt. So I had to put one nest in a bowl to keep it upright with the stone egg. But with the much lighter craft eggs, the nests held them upright just fine. Happy nesting and happy Spring, y'all! ***UPDATE: One of my two nests was just too wobbly and kept tipping over at the slightest disturbance, so I used a hot glue gun to even it out on the bottom; this solution took less than five minutes, worked well, and the glue is not visible when the nest is upright (see photo). I'm still glad I purchased.

This is in a bird cage with an Amazon blue Jay sitting on the nest. It’s wired to the cage to prevent movement and it’s sturdy enough that the wire doesn’t compromise it. I am happy with it.

These birds nest were very real like but they are also very tiny. If they were a little bit bigger for what I had planned to do with it it would’ve been perfect.

They look cool to humans but some reason our budgies don't go in them. Although one is actually laying eggs. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
