Hospitality Law: Managing Legal Issues in the Hospitality Industry 4th Edition

I have now been a Hotel GM for 41 years, and I can honestly say that this excellent book should be on the short list of required reading for all managers and owners in the hotel business. I have been acquainted with the author from my work in the hotel industry for many years. He is a Hospitality Law Professor at the University of Houston, and I have sat in on many lectures he has given at Hotel conventions all over the country. He has helped me many times with excellent advice, and I just had to have this book. I had an older edition, but this one has some important updates, as the laws are constantly in flux. This book is yet another example of why he is so heavily sought after for lectures, and advice. I trust no one as much as him when I have an issue arise. Keep up the great work Stephen!

Hospitality Law: Managing Legal Issues in the Hospitality Industry is a very informative, but more importantly it explains its subject in language made easy to understand. I was in particular looking for some background information in the gambling and gaming sector. To the point, this book explained issues in language simple.

Not geared toward law students. Very simple and easier to understand for laypeople.

This book was extremely helpful in introducing me to the laws of hospitality. I never knew so much went into hospitality!

THE MINDA brief, generally acceptable overview of various hospitality specific legal principles but outside source material is necessary to give a fuller picture. A supplemental work on state specific laws would give legal recourses for difficult problems faced by owners and operators of hospitality establishments. Well written and good as an introductory to hospitality law.THE BODYI knew the book was used but the condition of the book itself was not as described. It was marked "Good" with minor cosmetic blemish yet it was ripped at a part of the spine; one's spine could hardly be called cosmetic.

The product came in very good condition.

This is a book that you might want to read just for the interesting case studies and information. It is well-written and clear with lots of examples. I had to get it for a class, but I'm enjoying it.

I bought this book for use on my kindle app on my phone, and it didn't work, even though It was claimed to work on androids at the time of purchase. Luckily I was able to pass the class with the use of someone else's book, and extensive note taking.
