Excellent for table runners and collage wallhangings
This batting is thin so works well where you do not want a lot of bulk.It is my first choice when making table runners because it stays flat after washing so things like glasses, vases, and candle sticks aren't tippy when placed on it.This is the batting I use when doing collage quilts like Laura Heine. When quilting horizantally across the entire project and then vertically...all 1/2 - 3/4" apart...there is virtually no puckering on the back when using my walking foot. All of my projects are sandwiched using painters tape to secure smooth back, 1" curved safety pins, and Kwik Klip safety pin tool.

Great for beginners and small-sized projects!
I wanted to challenge myself this past Christmas and quilt some dog bandanas for my friend. I have never quilted before, but this project was small enough for me to feel comfortable giving a try. The batting was super easy for a beginner like me, and wasn’t too thick that the bandanas would be super stiff on her pups. I would include a picture of them wearing it, but I want to respect my friend’s privacy.

Wonderful for clothing
I love Thermore. I said it's wonderful for wearable art but also for any quilt you don't want a lot of filling in. It works great with both hand and machine work.

Perfect for Machine Embroidery Quilt Blocks!
I do a lot of Anita Goodesign quilts that require batting right under the embroidery part of the project. This Thin Themore batting is perfect for these type of projects as it adds very little bulk to the embroidery quilts. I looked high and low for batting like this! Yay! Thank you Hobbs!

Good Thickness but Smelly
I thought the batting was a good thin batting, but I really disliked the odor which persisted for a long time after opening the package.

This is what the experts recommend
I joined a hand quilter's club and this is the most popular brand they use for hand quilting. It is this, wool or silk. But, this brand is their favorite.

Hard to find product - thank goodness for Amazon!
I love Hobbs batting and use it in all my quilts. I live 'in the boonies' and my local store does not carry the extra thin. I don't need it often, but when I do, it's a blessing to be able to purchase it on Amazon. Hobbs batting always works well for me - easy to hand or machine sew quilt, doesn't beard (even on old quilts that have been washed many times), can be put in the dryer. As I said, Hobbs products are very good quality and my 'go to' batting for all my quilting projects.
