Intel Core i9-9900KF Beast!
What more can someone say that's not already been stated. It's expensive, yes. But if one can fit this processor into their budget, the return on investment will NOT be disappointing. Installation was very easy, I decided to go with the stock thermal paste that was pre-installed on the AIO Corsair cooler. See specs below. I was able to assemble my new build which took about 3 hours. The wiring/cabling was NOT a breeze. PC Case was a bit tight but everything did install. Mainly I was overly cautious but Win10 installed in under 15 minutes to a desktop. Fast!! Temps have been very low, ranging from the low 30s to barely above 50 degrees Celsius even in gaming. I have read comments this proc can sometimes spike hot, but my experience is this build is easily the coolest running PC thus far. I am NOT overclocked as yet, have had the build running for about 2 weeks now. Going to wait on that so can't comment but I know this beast is built for overclock potential. My default clocks on all cores seems to peak at 4700Ghz and I am thus far happy with that for now. Esp. From where I am upgrading previous, a 5 year old mid-range gaming PC. I have had zero issues and definitely notice my FPS in games is up. The only game I am running now is Black Desert Online, most will likely not have heard of this, a 3 year old game that is brutal demanding on hardware with graphics settings maxed out. My old rig pushed 10 to maybe 32 FPS if lucky. Yes I am using a 4K 27 inch monitor. I do need a better graphics card for 4K, you will also if ever considering moving to 4K. It's NOT an easy move if you don't account for graphics power. I have had about 3 years of laggy stuttery gaming (frequently but not all the time) so if considering 4K gaming, do NOT go with low budget graphics builds. You WILL regret it. But my FPS jumped up to 40 to 60 fps. All new components except the Video card and monitor are from my old build. Multitasking is a breeze, everything noticeably responsive and opens quickly. This Proc won't dissapoint. If you can afford it. After my last build in 2014 where I skimped on the processor (core i5 4790K) due to limited funds, I decided to throw as much as I could into the heart of the system and I am very happy I did! Seems to be working fine
I purchased this Microprocessor to upgrade my slightly old computer, for which the motherboard only allows up to this processor generation. So far, so good. However, I must say that I was a little disappointed that I did not receive the product in its official retail box, but an OEM unbranded brown box. The processor so far has been working fine, and it's a genuine Intel chip. However, being that it didn't come packaged in its original Intel packaging, I have my doubts this is really a brand-new processor. As a plus I must say they also included a heat fan, which I didn't know I was going to receive (This is not mentioned on the description) but when I first open the box I was afraid for a minute that I had received the wrong product, because what first jumps to your eye is the fan!, the processor was attached to a small compartment on the side. I could have missed it! I didn't need this fan anyway because I have a Corsair liquid CPU Cooler for the processor, but it's appreciated they included a fan. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. If something changes, I will update this review.

Hamazing
Picked this up for $420 after the 3900x got so much ass kissing. I'm a software architect and care more about my workstation responding instantaneously to my whim and demand than unrealistic benchmarks. The truth is if you need more than 6-8 cores you're doing a very specific professional workload. In 2019, however, 4 cores, even w/ hyper threading, is insufficient for any power user and you can feel the slowdown in daily use. This thing is at 5.1Ghz on all 8 cores just using my motherboard's auto-OC ( I don't know how to OC myself ). Things are instant. I can stream code from my brain to my IDE without ever waiting for the keystrokes to appear, close and open endless tabs instantly without that nasty close lag you feel on OS X or slower CPUs on Windows, and do pretty much anything imaginable. 8 cores is a good sweet spot for general use, coding, and gaming. Anything more is awesome, but likely 100% imperceptible to anyone not doing rendering or a few other thread-dependent workloads. If you don't know that you need 12 cores, you don't need 12 cores, and you can probably get by with 6. Windows also *FEELS* 200% faster when it doesn't have to flow through integrated graphics, this processor, therefore, is the god of desktop right now, benchmarks be damned. Whatever the tech was that Intel introduced in either the 8th gen chips or 9th gen that lets the CPU get to its turbo faster is the thing you don't get on AMD, so how fast your computer *feels* is still, unfortunately, better on Intel even despite comparable single-thread benchmark results ( which don't represent how long it'll take for your computer to *feel* like it's responding to you ). Conclusion: If you consider yourself someone who thinks or talks at a normal, casual pace, you're better off getting a cheaper AMD CPU because you won't necessarily perceive the benefits this chip gives you. If, however, you use a computer fast, and are a zippy little mofe, this CPU is currently the best out there capable of getting the highest single-core speeds which will make all the difference in how fast your computer feels.

AMD fans may be simply jumping up and down with Ryzen but there is a reason why i9 9900k series is still the gaming king and those who are serious gamers with 1080p or 1440p gaming in mind, Intel is still the best choice, so those who are sensible and wants good after sales support and wants smooth out of the box experience without worrying about memory support, frequency, turbo, overheating, etc please buy this.
